He was going for more money than they were wiling to pay him and doing the college version of holding out so it's likely become a 'we didn't want you (enough) anyway' situation... unless you think it's a coincidence that they're moving on now that he's making a large financial demand.
Like TL said, it’s no coincidence because they aren’t hiding that’s the reason they are parting ways.
The university agreed to an amount with Nico to play here when he was a recruit. There are no true contracts, however.
Nico thought he could play hardball and had the leverage. Tennessee said…nope, our offer was the offer we agreed to and nothing more
Now, Nico finds himself on the outside looking for a team that can come up with that kinda $$ on short notice that also has a major need at QB…right at spring ball time when most teams have already made those decisions.
Nico not only cost himself $$ in this situation, but credibility as well. Whomstever encouraged him to do this is truly a moron and does not actually have Nico’s best interests in mind
