The Player most valuable to his team has got to be Verlander. Sure the others mentioned are no doubt valuable; A-Gon, Granderson, Chris Getz (lol); but no other player in the AL is more valuable to his team other than Verlander, the Tigers are at best a .500 team with any other pitcher.
In Verlanders starts the Tigers are 21-8 ... all other games 53-53.

You guys seriously underestimate Joey Bats.
I think Adam Dunn should win it.
They should create a new award just for him. The most racist and embarrassing award in sports. The KKK Award for the unfortunate bastard who strikes out the most in baseball in one season.
If Verlander doesn't win it, it's a joke this year. He's the most valuable to his team. No doubt.
