I was wondering all the way back in August, why is Kicker the only position in training camp with no competition. It seemed strange that the Bears had a second Punter, but not a second kicker. Was Parkey such a sure thing, did Parkey have compromising info on Pace, like a pee pee tape?

Unfortunately I don't see any veteran kickers worth anything that are free agents at the moment. All equal or worse than Parkey. Would have to take a chance on a young guy who got a short look and was cut. We'll probably be drafting a kicker for sure this year.

If Santos is still out there, I can almost guarantee he’ll be in Chicago for a tryout Monday or Tuesday. (With a contract soon to follow)
