That rant had nothing to do with Foley leaving. But it does show at one point he would/could speak his mind.

But it has zero to do with him leaving the organization. Not one thing.

Okay, so why did Peter and Jim DeMaria send him packing for "personal" reasons, in your opinion?

It's not my Opinion. Pat got mad they were going to Simalcast the games He left. He did not get sent packing. It was his choice. He threw a tantrum and went to the Wolves.

He was past his prime when he came back. Time for him to be like the "ambassadors" that were always in sight, but are now hidden.

Long time for Wideman and Troy....so I can stop trying to sync the radio with the TV.

He was SOOO MUCH better when simulcasted. I'm sure it was more work to describe the game to people that can't see it. Now, he doesn't even have to pay attention. Plenty of time to just giggle with Eddie. I used to love the guy and hearing him call games in the early 80's helped get me hooked on the Hawks.

It's time for him to go now.

His contact is up soon too I think?

I thought he resigned a new one?

I'm still waiting to hear what Kessler did to Shaw? I mean WGN camera work really sucks and the guy calling the game can't seem to pay attention to the ice he's looking down on.

Foley was at his best when he did radio only back in the 80's on WIND. No sidekick. TV and Dale Tallon is what turned him into Garrison Keillor.

Either way, Pat's time has come to an end and he needs to be removed from the box. The Organ"I"zation has a stellar play by play guy in John and he deserves his reward for doing his best.

Hopefully it will happen sooner than later.

Great video but those guys were only fighting for the show. They really didn't dislike each other.

In the Calgary game, at one point Foley didn't know whether it was Ramo or Berra in the net and kept screwing it up.

I loved Foley once upon a time, but his time has passed. I agree, they need new talent in the booth. Whether it's John/Troy, or an even younger tandem that can last another 30 years.

McGrinch wil keep Foley around until he can't say "treeturdytree" any more and because of Foleys on air asskissing. Eddie likes him, and the Grinch wants to cater to the masses.

Between his out-of-the-blue Pulford bashing the other night, and taking shots at Havlat last night, it's pretty sad - Foley is a shell of his former self.

The other thing that struck me the other night was during the pre-game, when Olczyk was saying that Pirri needs to not play so tight out there, that if he makes a mistake it's not the end of the world and the coaching staff would work with him on it after the game.

He's clearly been doing so many National games that he forgot that <strike>the next </strike>any mistake Pirri makes sends him back up the expressway.
