I would not have traded Omer Asik for Nick Young. The Bulls would then hurt themselves in rebounding and defense and front-court depth.
Obviously, I would have traded Kyle Korver for Nick Young but who's to say that John Paxson/Gar Forman did not inquire about that offer?

Idk if we could have gotten him for Korver. The Wizards needed to shed some salary so they could take Nene's contract. So they traded Young for cook [who makes 2 million less than Young] so they would be able to fit Nene in. Korver makes 2 million more than young, so it couldn't have worked.
In a separate deal that didn't include Nene, there's no way in hell WAS would have traded young for Cook and a second... or Young for Korver and a 2nd.
And even if we offered Asik instead of korver, it wouldn't have worked for us because we're over the cap and Young makes around 2 million more than Asik.

I'm a bit disappointed we didn't look to make a deal, even if it was just a minor one. The Lakers absolutely STEALING Ramon Sessions from the Cavs and giving them Novak and Luke Walton's trash contracts was seriously on the same level as the Pau Gasol heist. Is it in the NBA handbook that the Lakers can acquire whoever they want VIA trade?
Also, the Nick Young trade is a fantastic rental. Great move for the Clippers. It's just frustrating to see the Bulls weren't willing to take a risk with so many other franchises being desperate to unload salary and simply 'acquire assets'. I know everyone was stoked about last night (myself included) but I do not feel comfortable with relying on our bench to score and take over offensively if we were to have an injury or get into foul trouble against a deep team.

I would have loved Ramon Sessions. If all it cost was a 1st round pick and Like Walton, the Bulls could have traded Scalabrine and Korver for him.
Sessions is an excellent rebounding combo-guard who has much more size than C.J. Watson.
