Because then you'd surely be ranting endlessly about how the Bulls would be ready to destroy Miami this season.
No because I don't make idiotic leaps in judgement. However if we had Young in that deal you're damn right I'd feel a hell of a lot better about the Bulls chances in a 7 game series.

Oh, wait, I forgot. It isn't about this season because the Bulls have basically already lost.
As currently constrcuted in a 7 game series I'm taking the Heat.

Why would we trade two ridiculously cheap players who we have control over for the next 3+ seasons for some head case who's a glorified rental?
Because we want to win a championship.

We're pushing the luxury tax as it is, and would have almost no chance to resign Young next year when he's an unrestricted free agent.
Risk I'm willing to take.
Getting him makes sense for a team like the Clippers
Because they are trying to win a championship.

an equally as bad dribbler, and I don't think I've ever once seen him try to play defense. The way our roster is shaped, we don't really have the pieces to acquire a "rental" player, which is why, for me at least, making a larger deal was the only thing that really made sense for us.
You've clearly never seen him play based on your "can't dribble" statement.

Let's say the Bulls had a Korver/2nd for Young, and Coach Thibodeau said he didn't want Young. Does that fall on GarPax for not doing a deal for a player Thibodeau didn't want? It wouldn't make sense for me to have executives trading for players that coaches don't want.

Maybe Thibodeau is a good coach because he knows what he wants in regards to his players and his system.

I also have my doubts about this team beating the Heat in 7.... but given how the season has been going... I think they'll make it more than interesting.

Bulls need home-court advantage desperately to do it. They need to split 3 of 6 so they can have that 7th game at home.

Why is it assumed that the Heat are a lock for the ECF anyways? It's not like someone can't knock them off beforehand. Diva teams have diva problems.

Well, the Heat are one big man injury from getting their faces stopped in by somebody. They use a true C (if you want to call Joel Anthony that) for only 24 minutes per-game. If he or even Haslem went down, they would be in serious trouble on the board and/or with shot-blocking.

Jamal Crawford is the guy we are going to sign in the summer if we win the championship. If we fail probably we will make a big move for Howard.

We can't sign him. He signed basically the same deal with Portland that Hamilton signed with us.

If only PaxGar would trade those 2 straight up.

I didn't know that.I read somewhere that they were asking a first round pick to trade him and I thought he would be FA in the summer.

Yeah that would be a good move having in mind Hamilton's injuries. But again IF.Would they accept this trade?

Crawford can opt out of his deal at the end of the season, and considering the direction of the Blazers franchise, I'd say there's a 85-95% chance he leaves.

Besides, some team will be stupid enough to give him some ridiculous four year deal.

nah won't happen. He was waiting for that kind of deal this past free agency and no one gave it to him so he had to settle for that 2 year 10 million deal the blazers offered. And he hasn't played well enough to get a big deal. Plus he's gonna be 32.

I think part of what scared teams was the shortened season. Besides, when teams reevaluate themselves in the offseason, somebody will give him a longer contract in order to entire him. A team who's in need of some more bench scoring (maybe somebody like the Clippers or Wolves) could take a chance.
