Well I would like to take it a step further. If he is so confident the Bears will struggle to win 4 games he should accept my ban bet. That way I don't have to hear him spew nonsense all season and clamor for shitty OT/G conversions in the draft next year.

Fair enough. Is it wrong that I hope Sherff is a complete bust just to spite The Hawk?

They are far from a solid middle of the road team. That is a team with an 8-8 record. This team will struggle to win 4 games this year. They only won five all of last year and by the end of the season they were the worst team in the league. Worst of all, they quit and teams that quit have a very tough time getting started over again because they are LOSERS. The supposed team leader, is their quarterback and he is nothing but A BIG LOSER. Where is the magic pill he is going to take to transform into a WINNER?

ANd where is this notiion that this team's offense is going to be improved from last year? Where is the tangible improvement coming from. I'll give you the defense being better.....SLIGHTLY but no way the offense is better. the offensive line isn't better, and the receiving corps isn't better. They are going to struggle running the ball and are going to miss Marshall bailing out his LOSER quarterback on awful passes to no one in general. They are thin at TE and if they keep pissing off Bennett and Forte, then good luck Fox. This upcoming season is going to be a very VERY tough one.

THe immediate story line after they lose their first 4 or so games will be, OH WELL, this is a rebuilding year. When Cutler folds like an accordion chair, they will likely bench him or put him out on waivers in mid season. They then will strive mightily to convince the paper bag headed minion in Soldier Field that this is all going to end up well with a new quarterback and young dynamic team starting in 2016.

In the meantime, Ted Phillips will keep picking up checks and the McCaskeys will put on Bear jerseys and pretend to give a shit about Bear fans.

The receiving corps is better than they were AT THE END OF LAST YEAR when Marshall was out for the year. Now they have a legitimate slot receiver in Royal and a 1st round draft pick playing the 2.

Most believe the defensive personnel last year is not nearly as bad as the end result was. Hearing stuff like Jennings last year say the defensive players organized their own meetings because the DBs didn't know what the LBs are DL were doing is telling how bad Tucker was. I didn't make that up. Use the Google!

I'll leave you to hang out in the QB gutter forum to prattle on about your take on offense. I will say that this team has won games w/ its current quarterback and although not perfect this team can win again with him. When this QB doesn't have to play tic-for-tac TDs due to a historically bad defense not able to force a SINGLE punt in a half (or a game in one instance) then the offense's problems become less noticeable.

This team should hover around 8-8. W/ a little luck it could grab a wildcard spot.

Find it interesting that the "breaking news" is talking about a train wreck and one of their writers is making a joke out of train wrecks. Sure that's going to piss someone off.

Even if Fox is white Lovie Smith, there's no way in hell he could be worse on challenge flag percentage. Lovie.......17 overturned, 35 upheld....32.7%

This was clearly written by a Packers fan. Not only are we ranked last but the Packers are ranked 2nd. We are bad but Tennessee, Jacksonville, Oakland, and Washington are certainly worse and a couple others are arguably worse.

I wouldn't be so quick on oakland. They're improving and Carr looks like a legit pro quarterback.

Let's see....

Lost our top pass rusher from last year to an Achilles.

Lost our best interior pass rusher to FA.

Most likely our best interior LB's are Shea and Bostic

Filled the holes in our pathetic defense with tier-3 and tier-4 talent on one-year "prove it" deals.

Used their first round pick on what likely ends up being a wash in production from the guy we had last year.

Used 3 of 4 first picks on offensive players even though the defense is complete shit.

None of those offensive players fixed the biggest issue we have on the team - Cutler.

While I don't think we're the worst in the NFL - we are realistically somewhere between 3-10, IMO

With the 7 pick I wouldnt call that middle of the pack. That's pretty damn bad when you pick in the top 10. We should hopefully improve upon that.

Stop reading my mind man. Unlike the picks though but I'm a bit shock we went offense more than I thought. Well maybe Fangio sees something we don't since they signed just about every 2nd tier LB free agent out there

I agree we are 3-10. Would you say Pats and Seahawks 1 and 2 though?

Let me put it this way. IF the present team that the Bears have goes 9-7, the entire coaching staff should immediately be inducted into the Professional Football HOF because this would mean that the coaching group last year was the worst in the history of the league. THe Bears have not improved the over-all talent level of their team from last year and have actually lost ground talent wise to the others in their division.

I'll repeat. If this assembly of meat led by Jay FUCKING Cutler goes 9-7, open up the doors of the HOF immediately and let em in!
