It was honestly such a weird QB room. Fields has more starts and snaps than Walker and Peterman, two other bad QBs. No real veteran presence.

Anyways this is the right move though the conversation surrounding the next great white hope is going to be obnoxious.
Fields has one bad throw and you know their shit will never end.

Thought the signing was good. It obviously wasn’t, poles makes the obvious correct decision. Shouldn’t be celebrating when the gm makes the easy correct decisions but that’s how it goes being a bears fan.
We’ve had prior GM’s hold onto mistakes tighter than some here hold onto a Twinkie.

Guess Poles moving on rapidly is good.

No you're wrong and wrong by a lot. The Bears need a competent backup that's actually gone out and won NFL games.

I mean it doesn't help that their starter is only of backup quality but I digress. Most of us don't know why he even signed Peterman he threw 5 first half INTs the last time he started a game.

Poles' evaluations leave a lot to be desired.
Yes, the Bears do need a competant backup. They released the guy who wasn't playing competantly.

Congrats to Bagent. I always said we should keep him on the active roster. I would still bring him along gradually throughout the season and by (roughly) the midway point - after he has gained experience by playing off and on and in mop up duty - elevate him to #2.

As for PJ, all the best to the man. He was a good bloke. Alas, fare thee well, we barely knew ya.

Think you should start a thread about how this money will set the Bears back for years! It’s a travesty!

No it's just another missed evaluation. Sort of like all of the other mounting misses Poles is racking up. Walker and his guaranteed money, the trade for Harry, the trade for Claypool Leatherwood there's money and draft capital that's being spent that's getting zero return on investment.

It's no wonder the Bears are talking about trading for Chris Jones that would go along with this incompetence.

If I were you I would just find another team.

Why? Am I just supposed to constantly be positive even when there's gross incompetence?

Am I only supposed to talk about how good DJ Moore is? Because the Bears essentially have one good player on the team that Poles is responsible for at a position that matters.
