I actually like Cuban, I think he is a good owner and brings a different aspect to the game. But I can understand how he annoys others. I think we can all relate to his rants about fouls.

I like that he's super committed to his team but he has diarrhea of the mouth all the time. And his rants do not help his team. They hurt it. Sam Smith had a good artcile today where he was talking about this. His constant harping on officials has created a "woe is me" atmosphere in Dallas, that takes the culpability out of the players hands & into the officials whenever their team falters. Even if his players may not openly say it, it's clear to me that they constantly feel they are getting shafted by the refs when it's not the case. They complain more than the Celtics, which is a tough feat to accomplish. The majority of NBA refs suck across the board, it's not a big conspiracy against the Mavs like Cuban would have anyone who has a functioning set of ears believe.

His vocalness is clearly a negative attribute but he does have a point. He continuously gets put up against superstars that get more calls and create more doubt in that. His issue is that his star is just soft. Dirk doesn't have a consistent or dominant game like others. He can be 1-15 through the first 3 and catch fire or go cold. Thats why his teams struggle so much in the playoffs.

I think the Nets would go after Boozer. they could go after Lee too. If the Knicks get their two players than the easiest move for Lee would be just to sign with NJ, he wouldn't have to uproot his family (if he's married, I don't know if he is or has kids).

The Nets could have one of the biggest turnarounds in NBA history if all goes right.[/quote]

Haha its funny. Right now im playing my player mode in 2k10 a few years down the road from now they actually have boozer as well as joe johnson(because im on the hawks and he was traded their because we both play sg) and to be honest that really wouldnt look that bad in the east.

It's all too obvious. The NBA is not going to allow any other Western Conference team in the Finals other than the Los Angeles Lakers. No one is going to want to watch a Suns/Magic, a Suns/Cavs, or a Suns/Celtics finals.

The Lakers bring the ratings, they attract the untraditional sports fan ala the Olympics, so the Lakers are going to get every whistle and a blind eye to any infractions they are guilty of.

Yup. Im actually curious to see if the Celtics can beat the Cavs or not because we just might see another Celtics vs. Lakers finals.

I'm really starting to think maybe it's finally the Suns year... I know, live by the three pointer, die by the three pointer, but they've got the best three point shooting they've had for any of their runs right now, and surely they have to eventually get lucky?

Oh and on the Suns, Channing Frye is one of the great FA signings ever. Steve Kerr has taken a lot of heat for the job he's done but that move was genius. For 2 million a year he's gotten a 44% three point shooter at a position where he's often being guarded by guys who don't want to be out on the perimeter. And Frye was about as much of a three point shooter as Deng before the season, so it's not like the move was obvious at all.

I'm on the suns bandwagon! even though, it'd be better for free agency if they loose.

You guys can't be serious. The Suns are not going to the finals. How are they going to compete when the Lakers slow the game down & pound the ball inside? If the Spurs played better D, I have serious doubts they would even make it past the semis. I'm still not counting the Spurs out either. They've been right there in each of these games despite that horrible defense. If they could keep J-Rich from ballin' they can win this series. I still think the Suns will make it to the WFC, I picked them to, but I've not seen anything from them that would make me believe they could beat LA in a 7 game series, especially without home court advantage.

The team everyone should really be talking about is the Magic. I know I picked the Cavs to win it all, but the Magic look like nothing is going to stop them on their way back to the finals. They are stronger, tougher, more talented, & deeper than they were last season. Everyone should be praying for the Cavs to drop out against the C's, ensuring that Lebron will give serious thought to donning Red, White, & Black next season. :)

Suns sweep the Spurs, but the look on Steve Kerr's face when Amare gave up a 4 point play with the suns up 6 was priceless. ;)

I really think the Suns can beat the Lakers, they've actually got a better record than them this year (basically since Amare decided to show up). Sure the Suns don't have anyone who can match up to Gasol & Bynum, but it's not like the Lakers can come close to matching the Suns shooting either. I just don't trust the Lakers to exploit the Gasol & Bynum match up enough.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Celtics tie it up behind a monster game by Rondo. 29, 18, and 13. I still hate his guts, but he's got some serious game. And he avoided a highlight LeBron chase down block...darn.

The Suns best lineup is Amare, Hill, Dudley, Richardson, & Nash. There's no way that that lineup can compete with the size & length of the Lakers best lineup. Their only hope is to run like hell. If that doesn't happen, it's Lakers back to the Finals, which I'm sure it will be anyway. Should be a fun series though.

I'm shocked the Suns swept the Spurs. I picked the Suns to get to the WCF but man, they just took about 5 years of frustration out on S.A.

I can't see how the Suns let Stoudemire go after this run they've had.

This Celtics/Cavs might go 7.

As for my Hawks over Magic pick :S

I don't even think Hawks fans picked that. :cheer:

Lakers - Magic rematch I predict, though Stern will try his damnedest to rig it so Lebron can get back to the Finals.

So Joe Johnson basically told all Hawks fans to F themselves. Hogs the ball, disappears in the playoffs, & "could care less" if fans show up to games, We need to go get this guy.

I remember Pippen pretty much said the same thing about Chicago fans. That said, it has to hurt him that he didn't do better with his team in the playoffs, of the top 4 teams in the East, the Hawks are by far the worse. Lackluster at best against the Bucks, on the verge of getting swept against the Magic, can't blame the fans for booing...

On another note...

Ummmmm,

What was that about Duncan being a better player than Kobe? Huh? What?

Didn't think so...
