Impossible to predict if CW will have a Stroud type rookie year or a Lawrence type rookie year. But 9-8 has to be the floor expectation and I think < .500 might be the end of the Flus era.

I see a lot of concern about the D-line as if the O-line is no longer a worry. But for that to be true Ryan Bates has to be everything Poles imagines, and they have to be way way healthier than last year. For the people saying the WRs are so good they the rookie qb won't need time to throw because someone will always be open - let's see how that works out.

Obviously, we need to see the order of games and how the schedule falls. But, here are my thoughts...

Divisional Games
Vikings
Lions
Packers

I think the Bears will sweep the Vikings. For the Lions and Packers, I think the Bears will sweep one of those teams and get swept by the other. That's what happened last year.

Divisional Record: 3-3

Non-Divisional Home Games
Pats
Titans
Panthers
Rams
Seahawks
Jags

I think the Bears will beat the Pats, Titans and Panthers fairly easily. For the Rams, Seahawks and Jags, I think the Bears will go 1-2.

Non-Divisional Home Game Record: 4-2

Non-Divisional Away Games:
Cardinals
Commanders
49ers
Texans
Colts

I think the Bears will win at the Cardinals and at the Commanders. Between the 49er's, Texans and Colts the Bears will go 1-2. This might be 0-3 but I think we can beat the Colts.

Non-Divisional Away Game Record: 3-2

Overall Record: 10-7

That isn't good enough to win the division. The Bears might sneak into the playoffs as a wild card. I think the Bears are in the toughest division in the NFL.

Here is what we know about the Bears right now.................
Williams is walking into the best situation any rookie has ever been in.
Offense........Better OL than Wiliams ever had in college. More offensive weapons than almost any team in the NFL.
Defense........Finished near the top of the league last year. Poles still needs to upgrade edge though.
Special Teams.........With the new kick off rule Jones finally has some value. Best punter in college ball last year. Kicker is one of the most consistent in the league

It will still all come down to Williams and there is no past comp to look at because of everything he has on both sides of the ball. This is all new territory that has never been seen before.

20-0 of course....

With a rookie qb I'm not going in with high expectations. Having 3 stud wr's (still amazed by this) will definitely help CW adapt and grow but he is still a rookie. There will be growing pains. I think playoffs are possible but let's just enjoy it

If they trade for a legit DE then they win 11+.

Lots of double digit predictions
It should have been double digit wins, considering the weapons that were acquired for the generational talented quarterback the Bears drafted #1 overall. There were a lot of posters that claimed the offensive line would be better under Caleb because he was going to make quicker decisions than Fields.

As we found out, it wasn’t Fields. It was actually the offensive line and coaching staff that were the problem all along.

Not just record but individual win losses

HOME
  • Detroit Lions - WIN - Lions embarrassed again in a week 17 matchup where bears sit most of their starters. Bagent 300 yds on 50 pass attempts.
  • Green Bay Packers - WIN - Bears end the drought(2018) against the packers because jordan love forgot which team he plays for.
  • Minnesota Vikings - Loss - Vikings start JJ and he outduels the burrs.
  • Los Angeles Rams - WIN - Bears corners shut down the slot sluts(Puka and Kupp).
  • Seattle Seahawks - LOSS - Geno Smith shows why he's better than any QB in the NFC North.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars - WIN - Close game, trevor shits the bed in the end and turns it over as he's starting to get known for.
  • Tennessee Titans - LOSS - Feel like they will be scrappy and Levis will have a better year 2 than bryce.
  • Carolina Panthers - WIN - Lets be honest this team is the worst in football still
  • New England Patriots - WIN - Drake Maye lives up to the hype and becomes Mitch 2.0
AWAY
  • Detroit Lions - WIN - Lions fans are gone by halftime as caleb plays the best game ever by a bears QB.
  • Green Bay Packers - Loss - Caleb shits his pants playing against the cheeseheads.
  • Minnesota Vikings - Win - Early season game, JJ not starting yet. Sam darnold shits his pants against the bears elite db's.
  • Arizona Cardinals - Win - 2nd half of season game, Murray is dead by week 5 and they are starting Ridder. Caleb 300 Yds 4TD's.
  • San Francisco 49ers - Loss - Week 1 matchup. Turdy looks like shit but the 9ers still win.
  • Houston Texans - Loss - Bears get embarrassed by the QB they passed on.
  • Indianapolis Colts - WIN - 2nd half of season game and richardson is hurt by then.
  • Washington Commanders - WIN - They get destroyed on prime time week 4. Calebs first 300 yard game as a pro.

11-6 boys. Lets get it!

Packers - 9-8
Lions - 7-10
Vikings - 6-11

IMO detoilet has the weakest roster now in the North if JJ and Caleb play well. Lot of it has to do with how their rookie DB's play. If arnold struggles early their pass D will be dookie. Their coach is also trash and the worst in the division. Still not 100% sure what he does outside of going for it on 4th down and biting kneecaps.

Overall this entire division has talent, but think the vikes finish in last place only because they start sam darnold week 1 and he shits away some close games. Otherwise detoilet would be back in the basement where they belong.
Proving once again what an idiot this one is.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Tennessee Volunteers
I'll be conservative and say 9-8, even though I really want to say 10-7.

Even though the Bears will be improved, I do think they'll have tougher opponents this year, no matter what the SoS # says.

Let's say they go 3-3 in the division, which I think we all think is reasonable.

I don't think it would be weird at all for them to lose to the 49ers, Texans, Titans, Jags & Rams.

That's 8 losses.

We all know they will lose a couple they should win, and win a couple they should lose. But I'm looking at the opponents, and I could easily see them losing several of those despite overall playing well.
man, even toast was a 9 or 10 win guy last year! now that explains why he is so jaded now! lol

Do you know what “every year” means?

And nice job clumping in 9 wins in with 10-11 wins. And before you say that’s only 1-2 games difference, you could say the same thing every game down—8 wins is only down one from 9, 7 wins is only down one from 8. What’s the difference?

In any case, you’re a smart guy. You clearly know that what I’m talking about is the people who will constantly be guessing double digit wins every year.

There are a lot of crazy comments in this thread. I think it would be more accurate to think the Bears would repeat a 5-12 record looking at their division and schedule. The Bears roster was so bad last year its as if this is Year 1 of Rebuild #2. That's the way I am looking at things....first year HC, essentially a rookie QB, let's see how things develop. But to think of this team as a 9-10 win team is blind faith.

I think you’d have to be pretty demented to predict double digit victories in ‘25-‘26, but ‘24-‘25—-To be fair, easy to see how folks got caught up in the excitement of CW, Odunze, K Allen and a non-Getsy OC.

Call me crazy, but…

I think the coaching staff was the bigger problem, most definitely on the offensive side

Offseason isnt over yet and we dont know scheduling but the team as-is looks like it would need like perfect health at DL to get 9-10 wins, and im going to assume that doesnt happen so my guess is 8 wins. DE is 1 injury away from being worse than pre-Sweat trade last year, and DT might actually be worse than last year - if Billings and/or Dexter miss time it becomes a non-NFL level position group. I am of the popular belief that DL is one of the most important parts of a Defense so having it be both underwhelming and razor thin makes me think this is the weak link in the chain that if broken will **** this team out of dominating an otherwise easy schedule. Hopefully there are more acquisitions there through the draft and/or preseason cuts.
Well injury did decimate DT but the floor was way lower than I predicted.
