I'll say 10-7.

I think this team is going to be legitimately good, but this schedule is shaping up to be pretty tough. they get the NFC West and AFC South, which is an upgrade over last year, when they drew the 2 weakest divisions in the league.

And of course, the NFC North may be the strongest conference top-to-bottom in the league. It's going to be a bloodbath.
hence 9-8

Alright, if you need something to pass the time for the next seven hours, and you're sick of mock drafts, predict the Bears record for the upcoming season. Feel free to go game by game, but since we don't have the exact schedule yet, it might be easier to predict how many wins from each of the following three groups:

Group 1 (6 divisional games): Lions, at Lions, Vikings, at Vikings, Packers, at Packers
Group 2 (6 non-divisional home games): Rams, Seahawks, Jaguars, Titans, Panthers, Patriots
Group 3 (5 non-divisional road games): Cardinals, 49ers, Texans, Colts, Commanders

I'll say 3 wins from Group 1, 4 wins from Group 2, and 2 wins from Group 3.

9-8 record, and a Wild Card spot.
Is Ditka coaching?

Hopefully, we get a few cupcakes early in the year followed by some mediocre teams before we play the 9ers, packers, Lions, or Texans.

I’m torn on whether I want cupcakes early or difficult games early. You always want to get early wins to build confidence, but if it’s going to take a few weeks for the offense to gel, it might be better to do that against teams we would likely lose to anyway.

It gels quicker when you get in rhythm and get confidence. Weaker teams early on is the way to go. Either way, they will get it sorted sooner or later.

I don't know if CW is going to be great or not, I'll assume for this thread he is, even 3/4s of Stroud is fine.

Given that, and also given that somehow they figure out a way for another quality edge quickly, I might be back as the most bullish on this message board.

Without a real bad injury season, and the above givens, I will go 12-5, maybe 13-4 and minimally a deep playoff run.

Lots of qualifiers there, but Let's Go Bears!!

17 game season. 4,000 yards passing? 35 touchdowns??

The Bears <on paper> are STACKED. If the Punt kid is as advertised and the defense carries some of the momentum from last year. Caleb Williams and the weapons getting the ball at midfield to start the drive? #drool

Injuries always happen, projections should not be made on a 100% healthy roster.

Offseason projection talk is good for Business and the NFL . . .

Creates Hype
Creates Jobs (see joe biden)
Season ticket interest
New fan interest, i bet the bears draw a lot more iowa fans this year, is it a sign George Kittle is also from Iowa? hmmmm
Jersey sales
Media revenue
etc.

I am always pretty conservative with these kind of things so I'll be a downer and say:

28-0 and 2 Superbowels and 1 World Series. Heck, I'm feeling a little optimistic so I'll throw in a Stanley Cup too.

Not just record but individual win losses

HOME
  • Detroit Lions - WIN - Lions embarrassed again in a week 17 matchup where bears sit most of their starters. Bagent 300 yds on 50 pass attempts.
  • Green Bay Packers - WIN - Bears end the drought(2018) against the packers because jordan love forgot which team he plays for.
  • Minnesota Vikings - Loss - Vikings start JJ and he outduels the burrs.
  • Los Angeles Rams - WIN - Bears corners shut down the slot sluts(Puka and Kupp).
  • Seattle Seahawks - LOSS - Geno Smith shows why he's better than any QB in the NFC North.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars - WIN - Close game, trevor shits the bed in the end and turns it over as he's starting to get known for.
  • Tennessee Titans - LOSS - Feel like they will be scrappy and Levis will have a better year 2 than bryce.
  • Carolina Panthers - WIN - Lets be honest this team is the worst in football still
  • New England Patriots - WIN - Drake Maye lives up to the hype and becomes Mitch 2.0
AWAY
  • Detroit Lions - WIN - Lions fans are gone by halftime as caleb plays the best game ever by a bears QB.
  • Green Bay Packers - Loss - Caleb shits his pants playing against the cheeseheads.
  • Minnesota Vikings - Win - Early season game, JJ not starting yet. Sam darnold shits his pants against the bears elite db's.
  • Arizona Cardinals - Win - 2nd half of season game, Murray is dead by week 5 and they are starting Ridder. Caleb 300 Yds 4TD's.
  • San Francisco 49ers - Loss - Week 1 matchup. Turdy looks like shit but the 9ers still win.
  • Houston Texans - Loss - Bears get embarrassed by the QB they passed on.
  • Indianapolis Colts - WIN - 2nd half of season game and richardson is hurt by then.
  • Washington Commanders - WIN - They get destroyed on prime time week 4. Calebs first 300 yard game as a pro.

11-6 boys. Lets get it!

Packers - 9-8
Lions - 7-10
Vikings - 6-11

IMO detoilet has the weakest roster now in the North if JJ and Caleb play well. Lot of it has to do with how their rookie DB's play. If arnold struggles early their pass D will be dookie. Their coach is also trash and the worst in the division. Still not 100% sure what he does outside of going for it on 4th down and biting kneecaps.

Overall this entire division has talent, but think the vikes finish in last place only because they start sam darnold week 1 and he shits away some close games. Otherwise detoilet would be back in the basement where they belong.

SuperBowels? Is that the new product the MyPillow guy is trying to advertise? Maybe some pillow themed diapers

You gotta win the SuperBowel or the season's in the crapper. The regular season can be great but it stinks if you don't win the Superbowel. With Williams, we have a legitimate shot to win a few this year.

LMAO, funny how you can say the Lions have the least talented roster in the North, yet nationally, they are viewed as having a top 5 roster in the entire NFL.

But hey, just ignore what they are saying nationally, Ms. Adows has spoken.
