Turco's icing last night and how well he got that puck across the ice is him showing the players what he is looking to do. I cannot imagine him hitting Toews, Sharp, Kane, Marakov, Hossa, or any of our forwards for that matter with a bomb!



That will keep the forwards of the other teams back and their D from commiting so quickly. This just opens the ice more for the forwards on this team.

If you don't think Turco sucked last year you didn't watch any of his games other than Hawks games. He was awful, looked very similar to Huet. Dallas agreed cause they were all too happy to replace him.

With Dallas' defense, any goalie is going to have a rough time there.

Your high. Other than Robidas he had NO defense in front of him. Robidas would be the ONLY D man that would crack our top four.



Now add Turco faced 12 MORE SHOTS, PER FUCKING GAME, and had a save percentage better than Niemi you dont have a fucking clue what you are talking about.

See that's where you're wrong. Numbers don't lie. Fact of the matter is Turco stopped 91.3% of shots he faced last year. Just because he had a 2.72 GAA and a bad record doesn't mean shit. You could have had Ken Dryden, Patrick Roy, Marty Brodeur, etc. in net last year and fact of the matter is Dallas still would have sucked.



BTW Goalies were:

1 Rinne .911

2 Niemi .912

3 Lundqvist .921

4 Fleury .905

5 Turco .913



What do the first 4 have in common, all played on good teams, , had goals against averages less than Turco, and more wins. I'd love to see you tell me those 4 had bad years too, considering among them are 2 olympians, and a stanley cup champion.

IMO they were a playoff caliber team in the east (so take that with a grain of salt) but even if you think he's on a bad team he still put up a .921 and GAA average of 2.38 and 32 wins

Gaborik 42

Prospal 20

Dubinsky 20

Callahan 19

Jokinen 15



I watched about 50 Rangers games last year and they were pretty damn bad save for Gaborik. Lundqvist/Gaborik/Del Zotto/Staal were about the only "good players". Lundqvist is top 3 goalie in the league and pretty much made NYR what they are, an almost playoff team.



In fact, Lundqvist has to be right below Vokoun for most underrated goalie in the league.

Honestly if I could pick one goalie for the hawks to have, I'd choose Lundqvist every single time.
