The unofficial 40 time for P.J. Williams stands at 4.47. He also touched 41.5 inches in the vertical (40 inches at the Combine) and 11-2 in the broad (11-feet Combine).

Oklahoma St, TCU, and Iowa State held White to 4 catches or less and under 50 yards in those games and 1 TD and the TCU game was a loss.

Cooper was held in check 1 time all season against Arkansas. I dont consider the Western Carolina game to him being held in check because Bama was dominating that game from the start.

@RapSheet: Northwestern QB Trevor Siemian has dinner with #Broncos QB coach Greg Knapp on 4/8, then his Pro Day on 4/9. Slated for Bears workout on 4/7

This won't count against the 30 visits. He'll be considered a local prospect.

Tyler Varga
Today was the day Tyler Varga, who did not participate in the combine due to a bone spur on his ankle, worked out for scouts. Twenty-nine teams were on hand with only the Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans not in attendance.

Early numbers coming in from the afternoon workout included Varga tipping the scale at 222 pounds (same as the combine) before touching 38 1/2 inches in the vertical jump and 9-9 in the broad. His 40 time was clocked as fast as 4.64 seconds with 4.22 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.13 seconds in the 3-cone. Varga stood on his combine bench mark of 23 reps.

Shane Wynn
The Hoosiers have a number of underrated prospects to keep an eye on, starting with receiver Shane Wynn. Early word is the speedy Wynn ran as fast as expected, clocking times that ranged from 4.25 to 4.29. Wynn also touched 36-inches in the vertical jump and completed 13 reps on the bench.

The receiver measured a tiny 5-6, 167 pounds and posted a broad jump of 10 feet. By all accounts, scouts were pleased with his position work, especially the way he tracked then adjusted to deep receptions. Wynn led Indiana with 56 receptions for 708 yards last season and was the team's primary punt returner while sharing duties returning kicks. He's setting himself up nicely for camp this summer as a slot receiver/return specialist.

I wouldn't mind P.J. being our 2nd round pick. Immediate starter with pro bowl-potential, IMO.

I think the guy who played opposite of him was better. Stone hands but was a good shut down corner.

Darby is definitely a good corner too, yea. I think it just comes down to what kind of corner you want. Darby might be a teeny tiny bit better in coverage (i'm not even sure of that, but some seem to think so), but Williams to me is just a tougher corner with better size than Darby. IMO he fits what Fangio wants better than Darby does, and I just generally think he's the better player.

But okay, I'm also a sucker for tough, physical CB's.

Concern to me is that some experts thought that the reason Williams was good was because Darby was so good in man coverage is that who he covered wasn't open to ever throw to. Which caused Williams to be more challenged and get more opportunities. But Darby is a physical corner when going against WRs.

I'm still hoping Marcus Peters should be there. Thats a physical corner.

Besides Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly and Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, the Tampa Bay Bucs, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears sent defensive back coaches. I'm told all 32 teams are in attendance.

Bears are showing a lot of interest in Byron Jones. I honestly must say, I had no idea who he was before the record breaking combine jump. I knew the name, but had no idea if he could play football or not. I watched a couple games, and he's a good looking prospect. Pretty raw. I wonder if the Bears are looking at him to play CB, or perhaps FS. Pace comes from an organization that has shown no qualms about taking very raw players with great measurables in the draft. From Akiem Hicks (Canadian college player), to Jean Baptiste last year, to Terron Armstead.

Intriguing guy to say the least.

I'm not quite sure what to think of Byron Jones. I remember seeing him rated as a late-round draftpick by a lot of people shortly before the combine. But after that, he was suddenly in the 2nd round-conversation, and still is.

Also, I'm not quite sure as to what to expect from the Pace-draft. Because yes, Saints drafted some real raw project-players when he was there, like the ones you mentioned. But listening to what he's said so far, he likes great gametape, which is something those guys didn't necessarily provide. So I'm excited to see what kind of drafter Pace is.

Agreed on all. One thing Pace said though was that he was going to set the team up to take BPA in the draft by making sure they filled holes in free agency. Looking at the roster, he either signed or RE-signed a player at every position except for K and P.

Yea, but the question is what BPA is to Pace. Is it the guy with great production and great gametape to back it up, or is it the guy with not so much production, but obvious potential to be outstanding.

It's probably not one or the other, but I'm still curious to see which way he leans.

Thats why I hope he drops to 39. Can play safety and corner..

Very first time I'm here Peters as a safety. He has plenty of skills to be a really good corner so I doubt safety is in his futre.
