Eight Grade was pretty good. While the leads for Edge of Seventeen and Lady Bird felt kinda like wish fulfillment for the female writers, the girl from this movie seemed much more real.

Also, unlike the other two films, this one doesn't shy away from how much social media and phones are used by teens today. So it feels like a real (post) millennial coming of age.

Mission Impossible: Fallout was one hell of a movie.

LOL.....I liked the "Wolf Blitzer" scene where the idiot in the hospital bed got faked out.

It was too corny, the bad guys were all armed to the teeth, he should have been picking up their weapons after he wasted them. Use the Home Depot resourceful gag once, that would have made the point, but that shit went on forever and I thought it was silly.

The Russian pimp take down in the beginning was epic, so was the oligarch take down at the end. He should have gone to Putin next.

....but that shit went on forever and I thought it was silly.

I thought the drill to the neck was cool..lol. I thought the bomb in the microwave was contrived and unrealistic. McCall said 40 sec it tool way more than 40sec
for it to go down.

I think a lotta' of the Home Depot stuff was based on stealth guerrilla war tactics. Denzel might not have been able to do a str8 up shoot out with all those guys (realistically). But don't get me wrong, when I first saw it, I wanted him to just use a gun too.

what did u think about the 'hanging scene' at da Home Depot.

I would've like to have seen how he got rid of that Home Depot robber (remember when he wiped off the bloody hammer and returned it to the rack.....lol)

Electrocution was to easy for that oligarch Vladimir Pushkin. Denzel shouda' tortured him.

Atomic Blonde. Awful. Sofia Boutella is hotter than Charlize

Two movies that looked awful to me (Blindspotting and Searching) are getting good reviews.

I guess I'll reluctantly add them to my list.

Finally got around to watching A Quiet Place. Wasn’t that bad, but wasn’t anything great either. Not mad I rented it.

Highlight of the movie was the kids.

1st 13 yr old girl: What do they do if they have to fart.
2nd 13 yr old girl: They probably let it out real slow.
Me and the Woman: *loses it*

Tried rewatching Indiana Jones, my least favorite of the Spielberg classics and couldn't even make it halfway. The tone of the movie doesn't work for me, it's a little too light.
