Just saw The Predator...I have not seen any of the other movies, so I have no way of comparing this with the others. For me, I had a good time with it. It’s far from perfect...the story is a little disjointed but it isn’t the worst thing I’ve seen this year. My expectations going into it were pretty low so that probably helped.

disjointed.....is right.

Most of the action & plot is disappointingly chaotic. The acting was not good, IMO. The previous "Predator"
movies had a decent follow-able story line. This one didn't make sense ( plus they lifted a scene from the movie "Kin"). I'd give it a 4/10 and that's generous.

The Nun - 2/5 What was up with the comedy relief? The movie is forgettable in almost every area. Taissa Farmiga is wholesomely hot so at least there's that.

The Meg - 2.5/5 Not the trainwreck of a movie I was expecting. It's an OK mindless summer blockbuster that will likely be forgotten in 2 years.

Yeah, I was gonna go to a drive-in. They have The Nun / Predator combo showing now, but the reviews on both are so horrible...
I'll probably just rent the original predator and be happy.

The Lobster 3/5
It wasn't half bad. I kinda like this director. I really liked the Killing of the Sacred Deer.
The Lobster is a fantasy black comedy. Sort of reminded me of Coen bros, but darker.
I like the violence in his movies.

If you have hbo or Cinemax they have been showing it multiple times a week so it’s probably on demand

The Nun is terrible, and as I was leaving the drive-in the other night Predator was still playing and from the few minutes that I watched it it looks equally as horrific.

They are showing Deadpool on FX, and even with minor cut outs I forgot how much I really enjoyed that one.

Watched Friday on TV again the other day. Don't like it on TV so I'll give it a 8/10. But on Blu Ray, 10/10.

Anyone ever go to one of these? My brother bought tickets to see a home alone one and I’m really interested in this one but I don’t know what to expect really

If this is where they show the movie on screen, but play the score via live orchestra I've seen a couple. It's pretty cool, especially, if you're sitting in a place where you can actually see the orchestra. It was fascinated just looking at them and the conductor and how they time it and all. If you can't see the orchestra it's kinda like just watching the movie...

This is exactly it! I’m not sure if you get to see the orchestra though. It just seems like something cool and different.

It's cool to experience. The venue I went to was outdoors so if yours is indoors it's probably got better sound. It's amazing how much in sync they are with the picture. Only negative was that it was so true to the original movie that it was like just re-watching the movie if you know what I mean... That's why I say it's so much better if you can actually see the orchestra.

Ocean's 8 - Great cast but nothing really new about it.

Unsane - Not that great. I expected some huge twist but it never came.

Haven't seen it, but i'm not surprised. its almost impossible to recapture the charm 10+ years later. Bad Santa was another one that had a dreadfully unfunny sequel.
