Rate the last movie you watched

Saw Vemon last night and I liked it. I'm not a major fanboy of the Marvel and DC franchises, but I do think some of them are neat. A little slow to start, but it was all important stuff to set up the movie. It felt like it was a 90s action movie, which I thought was rad.

Previously I saw the Happy Time Murders. Enjoyed it for what it was, a movie about muppets being murdered. Thought the humour was decent, but I thought some scenes were strung out a bit too long (the sex scene in the office).

If you have amc in your cable package you can stream the new season(idk for how much longer) with the amc app. Usually it’s up for a month after the season finishes before it gets put on a streaming service

Went with the wife to see the 4th remake of a "Star is Born". First movie I have gone to in 30 years. I can not stand Lady GaGa. Period. But she was unbelievable in this movie. Not just her acting but he voice is unbelievable. There was a section in the movie where she did the rap shit and it totally turned me off. But that woman has a voice that few can rival.

Best actress for sure.....and this coming from a 60+ republican. The woman has talent....leave the stupid gimmicks behind and just sing.

The first 15 minutes or so of Halloween had me worried, but after that it was a pretty fun ride.

I can't imagine how someone could enjoy the first one, but not this one.

Don't take this as a swipe. Keep this in mind.....She has a target age group...and her stupid gimmicks music genre etc. isn't geared toward "baby boomers".

There are other "Halloween" movies going back to (1978). pretty violent and gory.
Also.....the Saw (franchise 2004 -2017) is pretty violent and gory.

Over the weekend I watched:

The First Purge - 4/10

Not sure what the point of this movie was.... if you saw the other Purge movies, this was tame/boring really.

Same setup.... poorer folks being targeted by the Purge system (in this case experiment)

Armed mercenaries being paid to amp up the amount of violence and killing.

Street gangs fighting back, trying to survive the night.

There was zero added in this prequel.
