I got around to seeing Bumblebee yesterday. If you're a Transformers fan, this will definitely be for you. This is easily one of the two, if not the best, movie in the franchise. 100x better than that piece of shit that came out 2 summers ago with Mark Wahlberg. I probably won't bother to ever watch this again, but as someone that's not a fan, I enjoyed it.

Aqua-man.....4.5 / 10 To long (almost 2hrs.), mediocre acting and overdose action

Jason Momoa(Aqua-man) was really mediocre and cardboard as the lead IMO. I can think several actors who would have been better.

Birdbox - some interesting scenes, but pointless
Aquaman - I stopped paying attention to the story about 20 mins in. The parts that I didn't sleep through looked pretty though I guess.
The Favourite - really interesting and good. can't wait to rewatch, which I will before it leaves theaters.
Mary Queen of Scots - Saoirse Ronan was good and this wasn't bad. but as a random tweet said, you can find better stories on BBC/PBS.
Mary Poppins - Emily Blunt was somehow better than I even thought she would be, but the story was pretty unfocused.

I can't remember a Netflix movie getting so much buzz. I keep seeing people on social media talk about it, but from everything I've read it's not that good.

Like the Russian troll farm that helped Trump get elected, and once again, it worked. As many people, including myself, had the illusion that a lot of people liked Bird box even though they themselves didn't.

Almost all of them have memes/gifs. They're obviously trying to market the content to the lowest common denominator. Which says more about what they think of the quality of those particular products than anything else. They didn't do this with Roma, for example.

I feel asleep on Aqua-man as well. woke up and caught the last 30min The script seemed like a teenager wrote it.

What they did worked because you can't go on Facebook/Twitter without seeing someone mentioning it. Good for them I suppose, I read that it set a Netflix viewing record.


I saw The Mule yesterday and enjoyed it. It's probably something I won't ever watched again but I'm definitely glad I was able to go and see it. Clint Eastwood is one of the GOATs.
