Just came back from Baby Driver and I thought it was alright. I don't really get all the hype, but it wasn't a terrible movie. I mostly just enjoyed the soundtrack. I'm also a guy who thought LaLaLand was overrated. So maybe everyone else has different movie tastes

Marvelous. Even during the lulls there was always something interesting happening.

I'm excited to see this film. I really enjoyed Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.

Saw spider man last night. I have always hated spider man. Couldn't stand any of the movies and didn't like him as a character.

That said, 8.5 of 10 on the new one. Love the kid playing him, loved the story, loves seeing the theoretical question answered " would spider man be worthless in the suburbs?".

The intro was great and the movie worked along at a good pace without dragging you through the origin bullshit.
Did a good job of illustrating that he is a high school kid with high school issues, but it was well spaced and didn't drag the story down.

...plus, the nod to ferris beuller was pretty solid.

Go see it even if you do not like any of the other spider man franchises. It is a good way to spend a couple hours.

It was essentially a Iron Man inspired movie.

It absolutely was.
The Iron man cameos were good but not overplayed. The last 5 minutes were great.

... And the scenes regarding captain america were absolutely fantastic- from the teachers remark
"I am pretty sure this guy is a war criminal, but the law says I have to show this"
to the content of the video... It absolutely seems like something a real captain america would be a part of... and they turned out exactly as blah as it would in the real world.

Then why did you pay to see another one? LOL.

People have kids bro. If it wasn't for my nephews I wouldn't spend shit going to the movies and just wait for them to come out on cable.

Because I surprisingly dug his cameo in Civil war and decided to give it a chance. Thought he was the least annoying to play the part.

Just watched this one again for the first time in quite a while:

photo_05.jpg

It's a solid spoof on the "college kids in the woods vs hillbilly slasher" trope that is virtually ever present. Definitely worth a watch if you enjoy films like Shawn of the Dead or similar horror trifles.

And while I'm at it, this is another that's kind of in the same vein as the previously mentioned two:

We were discussing that- and it was kind of open ended.... what is your opinion... on the following-

Did he not mention parker out of gratitude for saving his life, or did he not mention him because he wants his own revenge to himself?
I think a valid argument could be made both ways.

At first I thought it was because he was being nice and wanted to show gratitude for saving his life, but I hanged my mind on that. He still tried to kill him later after he found out he had saved his daughter's life. I think the guy was really mad that his family life was affected. He seems like a guy who cares a lot about being there for his family. The fact that Spiderman kinda destroyed his family situation, makes me think that he wants to repay the favor once he gets out

Oh, and I loved the constant aunt May jokes in the movie. We all knew aunt May wasn't supposed to be this fine.

Despicable Me 3 8/10 as it was a cute movie. The second one was better!
The House 5/10 Had some laughs but really skip the movie and save your money.

Watched this at the weekend

I thought it was pretty good. but I hardly watch any movies and almost all the reviews are awful, so it could be that I simply don't know a good movie from a bad one
