Let's say Ratliff followed through with that and killed everyone in the building, including all the players. I wonder how the NFL would handle that. They would probably treat us like an expansion team, giving us the first pick in every round, and allowing us to poach certain players from each team. And there would probably be lots of people happy here since we'll have the first overall pick.

Ratliff would also get a six game suspension, reduced to four on appeal.

Point of clarification. He did not threaten to murder people's children. He simply wished their children would die. That suggests death not by his hands so quit slandering the guy.

This is factually incorrect. Ratliff would get a 2 game suspension, there would be outrage across the country, a video of the murders would come out and the NFL would increase the suspension to a lifetime ban and then despite killing an entire team, Ratliff would end up winning on appeal because the NFL violated the principles of double jeopardy. Goodall would then go on national TV and blame the arbitrator for the whole mess.
