Technically, TCD, we have Rosie and Brookbank. If we need a further call-up that means one or more of Leddy, Oduya, Hammer, Keith, or Seabs has gone down--which IMHO is a bigger issue that who we're going to call up.

No worries, I will be glad the season is starting up again--the dismal performances by the US and Slovakia need to be lost and forgotten like Bronson Pinchot's acting career.

I'd also expect Johns to sign an NHL contract the minute Notre Dame starts packing up their gear.

I see him running the same drill as LeBlanc, Black Ace time this year in Chicago, then cutting his teeth in the AHL next year. He shouldn't need as much development time as some of the other guys in Rockford - he's pretty polished and he's already 23.

For the record, Leblanc wasn't a black ace as he was signed after the trade deadline so he was only eligible for regular season games, not playoffs. Johns may get a chance to for some regular season games, but not playoffs.

Hawks trade Winchester for Brian Connelly from Wild. Minor league deal but Connelly is the Hogs all time leader in points by a defensemen.

Bollig gets a 3 year extension at 1.25 million per twitter.

Good signing for a 4th line grinder.

A good signing? I think that's a lot of money for a 4th liner. I can't see he how he makes more than ~850k per year.

He's played better than Bickell this year and people were happy with the Bickell deal..........

I think just about everyone thought it was overpayment for Bickell. People were happy he was back, but not at the price.

I think it's a good signing. He's earned the contract through his hardwork and willingness to get better. He's a 4th line grinder who works as the teams heavy when needed. He's chipped in offensively this year with 12 points too. It's literally a drop in the bucket.

About 0.25M per too rich IMHO, but still not bad for a guy who's been a great 4th liner this year with more goals than Havlat and Burrows--especially with the cap going up.

I'm not complaining.

Bollig signing is meh. He did improve a lot since last year and now a rather dependable 4th liner who can chip in the odd goal once in a while and rarely fucks up.

Were talking about an extra 500k for Bollig. We lose Handzus and Brookbank in the offseason with Raanta and Smith needing new contacts with an expected 6mil of cap space (with estimations of the cap going up to 71 mil).

Nickel and diming a bit here folks.
