Its funny how that happens more often as the mean education level increases in a community.

Well, its a college town with a lot of rich kids going there.. So I can excuse some snootiness..But this was waaaay over the top IMO

The dads were all wearing crocs with sweaters draped over their shoulders and tied around their necks...lol

Makes sense you would feel uncomfortable near a college.

I didnt notice that, but I just didnt like the atmosphere or the people in general

Too many Prius drivers there for my taste...We rented a Ford Excursion, and got flack at the gas station from a couple people for driving a gas guzzler, not to mention we were asked to leave the big box store cause my pal wanted to put a cheap tool kit together for his daughter who was going to school there..He asked for some "Cheap Chinese hand tools", and he was askled to leave for being bigoted.lol

lolol!

Also, with Portland, the only reason to go there is if you really love the culture of that city and if you really love the city itself. Nothing else there but the city. Its out in the middle of nowhere. Not near the ocean, not near the mountains, and hours and hours from other big cities. And the weather sucks, though its a little better than Seattle, but not by much.

Wearing crocs is like getting blown by a dude. Feels great until you look down and realize how *** you are.

I know the world can seem big and strange when you come out of your southern redneck hole.

Suddenly ignorance and intolerance aren't considered virtues.

lemme splain something to you boy, and I do mean boy..

When I was 18, college wasnt an option for me..I got drafted..The only guys who went to college were the fuckin cowards who dodged the draft..So I went and fought, then came back and got some edumacation

But you keep on acting like your so superior to us lesser people. Keep flaunting your higher education..The education you got vs the 58,000 men who died and never got one

Keep acting like a jag-off..You do it sooo well

In the words of Mike Ditka...Youre a spoiled Brat!

Small towns, amazing outdoor activities, progressive communities, insanely beautiful landscape, amazing weather.

I need to be at least a 30 minute drive from restaurants, shopping, museums, major sporting events, etc.

What you describe sounds wonderful and idyllic, but I'm a city boy at heart.

Yeah. Well, Seattle is the best big city in the US imo. Its worth trying to see if you can handle the grey and drizzle.

San Diego is probably 2nd imo. North country is great and minutes from the city. Carlsbad is the best. Encinitas is cool too. Solana beach is rich yuppie central. And Oceanside is a little ghetto and gets overrun with 21 year old marines coming off base to get fucked up.

This is true. If you are thinking of moving to Denver, the place you are imagining in your head is really Boulder. Or Nederland. Or Colorado Springs.

How many cities have you lived in?

Denver has the image of being in the mountains but that's bullshit. The mountains are 45 minutes away. Denver itself is one giant strip mall with horrible traffic

I mean, at this point, what major city doesn't have bad traffic? The world is getting crowded boy. If you don't want traffic problems, move to Montana.

I will go on record as Denver sucking, too. I would actually recommend Glenwood Springs. That's our next target if we stay in the States, because it's so affordable and close to good country
