I like the zombies from the game the last of us
Seems to me they would float, so what your saying isn't possible. Even if they did sink, they couldn't see shit.
Can someone explain to me the difference between the two diff zombie types?
I really struggle with the idea of it all. I prefer the post apocalyptic mutants like in I am legend.
I mean... watch some Romero zombie movies....
Think human who has been bitten and/or gnawed on and turned.
If you walked into a lake, you would sink to the bottom or near the bottom because you were not treading water and your body would fill with water.
Yes you would kinda float/bounce around, but you have no intelligence, so you don't know how to swim up or down.
Please don't turn this into "WELL THAT ISN'T POSSIBLES ARES"... they are zombies, you have to accept the hand-waving at how they exist and then think past it.
But once you died, your body would begin to decay, and you would bloat. Once you bloat, you float. That is the reason you need to weight a body when disposing of it in a lake.
You wanted us to come up with a plan, my plan was to steal a yacht, then find an island.

that is absolutely the best way to go.
With the Ares premise, were I in downtown chicago, I am stealing a boat and going out on to lake michigan. Fresh water would not be an issue.
If I wanted gas or to scavenge goods, I cruise the shoreline up north and find a safe, open area in which to do so.
If fat zombies can float out to me by chance, i would spot them long before hand. Killing them would be literally like shooting fish in a barrel.
Thinking long term, I stake out a flotilla or find an island, Fish, and come ashore to plant a garden in a safe open area.
Gas is the only concern, but I would have unlimited time to learn how to sail.
It is the perfect long term life- nobody can access your location without the same level of possesions you have- stealing yours would be a worthless endeavor for the risk.
You get on the island that is deserted how do you sustain life? Are you a prepper?
I think most people can survive by raiding for life essentials but once that stuff runs out what is people’s plan cause most think preppers are just right wing nut jobs and food should be purchased in a store not hunted. Island will have nothing for you you will have to start from scratch and need the knowledge to do it. Google and YouTube can’t save you cause none of that will be available
Please stop.
If you are going to assume normal biological processes, then zombies can't exist.
Who the **** walks around after their heart is destroyed? How is blood getting to the brain so it can operate?
If the lungs are gone, how can the zombie get oxygen to the blood to get it to their brain so it keeps working?
You asked about the parameters of the zombies.
I told you Romero type zombies.
You asked more questions.
I answered.
If you want to make up your own zombies and how they perform and then tell me what you would do, be my guest.
But don't ask me for parameters and then argue about the parameters.
I asked you if they could swim. I didn't ask you if they sank and walked on the bottom of the lake/ocean. I already knew the parameters of what they were made of, dead human tissue.
What would the world be like without hypothetical situations?Zombies aren't real ya dorks.
The worlds energy crisis would be solved.
Zombie Power!!!
Hords of zombies all on treadmills chasing a hunk of meat.
I think you are forgetting Winter and storms and snow....
actually counting on them-
My assumption is that zombies go dormant or freeze in the snow... or at least slow down.
to go down the rabbit hole, With the ability of zombies to stay upright after months of starvation, they must have a crazy slow metabolism... one that cannot create much heat.
with that in mind, I would imagine tissue and blood freezes solid in the cold temps.
If they did not go dormant in the winter... then my zombie survival plans would focus on the carribean.
Even if the zombies freeze... you are living on a boat on Lake Michigan.... it would not be fun for like 4-5 months out of the year.
And then you have to deal with nasty storms during the warm months... if anything happens to your or your boat, you are done.
A boat on Lake Michigan would not be without serious challenges.
So your saying the Locks aren't working? I wasn't planning on staying out on L. Michigan.
Locks need power, they aren't going to be working for long.... and even if they did... how are you operating the Locks and your boat at the same time?
I've been thru the Locks that get you into Lake Michigan from the canals.
It was Sarcasm, but I guess it all depends on the spread of the disease, and the areas hit first. Logic would dictate it to hit the large metro areas first.
