He was my favorite player to watch when he was healthy. Obviously he wasn't the best player in the league, but he was damned exciting and played with a crazy motor and a ton of heart and passion.
Too bad it all died with his ACL.

I actually think it died after his 2nd injury. He still looked extremely explosive after the ACL and still had that look like he wanted to be the best. Once he realized he couldn't play the same way and couldn't be the best athlete on the floor night in and night out, it was a wrap.

All this negativity... you'd think you guys would have something better to do than complain on a message board about a former mvp.

Obviously you have much better things to do than bash a fan base and defend a guy who hasn't been relevant in 5 years or looked like he gave a shit for over 2 years. Big difference between negativity and just being truthful and calling it the way it is.

That's what a lot of this board has turned into to, is just negativity.

If we had a top 3 point guard I'd be much more positive about the Bulls.

This has been going on for almost 3 years. I'm just amazed at how much a person can say the same thing over and over again.

Put another coin in the jukebox.

Rose is pretty much doing everything fans said they wanted preseason!

He is deferring to Jimmy Butler and facilitating. Letting Jimmy be the man. Rose knows more than most that going balls out means absolutely nothing in the regular season. Rose has another gear which he displayed last year. The eye injury set him back obviously and will not be right until the All-Star break. Stop bitching.

You two sound like a battered woman who apologizes and makes excuses for her abusive husband.

Rose's ACL has crippled the organization so badly that if you were to go out right now and brutally murder Derrick in cold blood, the Bulls wouldn't get any cap relief.

They would have to use the stretch(er) provision.

when you make the type of money Derrick makes, getting criticized when you don't live up to it comes with the territory. plus Derrick isn't just coasting playing mediocre, hes flat out one of the worst players in basketball right now

And even then he sucks up 10M of cap space for the next 2 years or something. DARN YOU INJURIES!

It is telling that as bad as Rose has played, he has yet to get dogged out by a premiere point guard. Not Curry, not Westbrook, Lillard, Parker or Paul. Look it up.
