Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports suggests signing Hamilton wouldn’t solve all of the Mariners’ problems. If they aren’t prepared to increase spending up and down the roster, adding a player like Hamilton would not be the answer. Morosi suggests the Mariners might want to pursue a trade for David DeJesus of the Cubs.

I thought of it, but I think the Cubs should stay away from him. I'd rather go Stewart/Vitters/Valbuena. Who ever makes the team or plays at any given time.

When he was a FA or when he was available that season before, I wanted the Cubs to land him. But now he's too old and on the decline, so just stay away from him. Far away!

Bleacher Nation said it wasn't just all speulcation and there's is something to it. Meaning, the M's do have interest in him. Do I see a trade happeing? Not at all and give it close to a 0%.
