Okay, so our options are:
Fernandez: Good in his first year, but dropped off bigtime last year. Young player who might improve, but Portland wants literally twice as much as Fernandez is worth in return. Most illogical choice, when Gibson and a late firts round pick is more valuble to the Bulls, or any team, than Fernandez would be. This shouldn't even be considered imo.
T-Mac: Supposedly wants 20 minutes a game and some starts, and this is a "huge deal!' because. . .he would be getting 20 minutes a game and some starts anyway when Deng inevitably gets injured. Highest potential returns of anyone currently available. Never quits in the playoffs. Wants to win, loves the Bulls team, wants to beat the Heat.
West: Far more baggage than T-Mac, law trouble, has quit in the playoffs. Always missing 10+ games, every year. Known choker.
Mason: Good defense, can hit threes, and make his own shot. Streaky shooter who can brick everything sometimes. He might win you a few games with his shooting, but he might also lose you just as many. Limiting his shots would be the best way to use him.
Keith Bogans: The safest possibility. Dude can play nice D', isn't a chucker, and is at least an average option to put in a few buckets. Always tries hard. Probably plays the best D' of the options.
Eddie House: Is a shooter. . .but so is T-Mac and Mason. Shortest player of this group by far, he's like half a foot shorter than the team's average height. imo House is the second worst option after Fernandez due to what we'd have to give up in trade.
