I agree, I don't know if any rumors are true...but its way to much Diva shit going onThese rumors have been around long before this particular source you mention. Just haven't heard any that specified teams that Williams doesn't want to play for. If I'm to be honest, Williams seems way too full of himself anyway.
But an additional transfer as an undergraduate generally requires the NCAA to grant a waiver allowing the athlete to compete immediately. Without it, the athlete would have to sit out for a year at the new school. Can’t happen:
1. Ohio State doesn’t have enough NIL money to pay both.
2. Transferring twice to a 4 year college requires 1 year on the bench
3. How will he know what the Bears are going to do with the #1 pick prior to him having to declare?
If the NCAA can't enforce transfers sitting a year on their second transfer, what's even the point of the NCAA anymore?
I guess you could have said that before this decision.
The NCAA has never caught even .1% of impermissible benefits. The NCAA should only be involved in determining impermissable benefits. How often a player transfers has **** all to do with the NCAA IMO.
Well I'm excited that Bears fans have something new to worry about for the next month now that getting the first overall pick seems more likely.
The Bears fans that want Williams maybe, not all.
You're forgetting about MHJ in this scenario. Top 2 picks go back to OSU. No giant trade down. No generational WR.
I'm not worried. Just saying this is what people have been dreaming of for months now.
I'd just take Nabers.
Before NIL, players had nothing. Going from nothing to millions is a big deal so they'd be ready to jump into the NFL ASAP. With players already making over a mil in college, the hunger for more is nowhere near as great. Have plenty and know they'll have more in the future.Ruling favors NCAA athletes seeking 2nd transfer
College athletes who were denied the chance to play immediately after transferring a second time can return to competition after a judge issued a restraining order against the NCAA.www.espn.com
It is likely the NCAA will no longer be allowed to force athletes to sit out a year if they transfer a 2nd time.
Having said that Williams would be stupid as hell to not declare when again an NFL contract is 38m guaranteed with 20 of that received upfront as SB vs NIL money which is around 2-3m.
NIL is simply not enough for a top pick to forgo the NFL IMO.
Your daddy said the opposite. That’s cap. I’m gonna declare after the season ends cause mommy said so.
I agree, just saying what was put out...also he can put in waiver not to sit out a year...Im sure his team would make sure...hence the delay with him and Harrison making announcement. Not happening.
Only way for Calebs stock to go is down, especially if he has to play actual legit college defenses with NFL talent.
Todd Maronovich (spelling) Raiders...dad thinks he knows too muchYour daddy said the opposite.
So who wears the pants in your family?
Don't matter if true unless Bears were going to draft him. 1st pick remains a gold mine.Rumor...thanks to NIL Money, he said his sources say, Williams doesn't want to play for Chicago or Cardinals and is looking at entering transfer portal, to go to Ohio State....hence why Harrison Jr may return(plus NIL money).
Don't fn scream at me...just reporting shit that was said and the dude hits on stuff a ton.
I agree with u 100%, there is still Maye...Patriots haha.. Just putting out what this guys saidDon't matter if true unless Bears were going to draft him. 1st pick remains a gold mine.
-- Every Bears fan since 1985I don’t buy this for a second. The Bears are a major market team that is better situated to win than most teams that would have the first pick. If he decided to stay, I don’t think it would have anything to do with the Bears.
