what are you rambling about? you sound like a fucking moron.

we dont care if the cubs make the playoffs, we dont care how much attention they get if they did. you obviously have a complex. to most sox fans the cubs going to the playoffs is as important to us as any other team making the playoffs which is nothing.

so sutcliffe likes a cubs spec? awesome! means a lot. somebody should find out if he was a little drinky when he gave his opinion.

your management with the red sox inherited a 90 win team. the same management that had an open pocket book to sign whoever they want...the same management that left and had cherington clean up theos mess, and win a world series. should I keep going?

You all care about something with this team that you keep coming over here to put your two cents In..

I see a sox fan invasion on this board last couple days yet very little to no rambling going on the sox page

Jealous?

I can talk about how awesome Abreu is and how Sale is the best Chicago player over and over snd over again. But then we'd be....

Where do you get jealous out of his comments given that he mentioned that Sox fans are coming to the Cubs forum due to a lack of activity in the Sox forum. If there's anyone who's jealous in that scenario it's Sox fans. Also, I'm guessing Cubs fans are overwhelmingly indifferent towards Sale and Abreu. And saying they're the best this or that in Chicago is like saying they're the tallest midgets. Most don't care.

Congrats Cub Fans. ...he's all yours
LOL........

I went to their online chat room. Immediately, I was attacked for being a member of my particular denomination. The "counselor" named J.N. urged me to leave my church and join another one.

This has nothing to do with what the site is intended to be. A few days later, my friend entered the site. And guess what???....miracles of miracles...there was J.N. AGAIIN even though the site advertises for volunteers. (In fact J.N. is on every time any or me or my friends enter the chat room.) J.N. wouldn't answer why he/she is the only one who comes into the chat room and if you press this individual, they get haughty and tell you they are leaving the room.

What we believe is that this is a one person site with no multiple volunteers. And it could be a cult for that matter. Be careful who you go to talk to about Jesus. They could be a devil in disguise!!!!

If that were true, wouldn't you be having this discussion in the White sox forum instead if here?

That was rhetorical, btw.

Wow, that is laughably ridiculous and totally lacking in objectively. Especially coming from a guy who clearly cares about the cubs. Or he wouldn't spend so much time on their board.

Then why do you care to hang on the Cubs MB?

And the Sox Lose 7-1 to KC.

Meanwhile, on the North side, the Cubs Win 6-0, Hendricks looks great in his 2nd game and 1st MLB win. Mendy's here to stay as Barney is DFA'd, and then abruptly sends one deep on Shefield in back to back dingers with Rizzo, his 2nd of the game and good enough for NL lead.

And down on the farm, Almora and Soler are promoted, Soler to AAA, soon to be here. Schwarber tearing it up, etc. Did I mention Bryant or Baez? And while all this is happening, Sox fans are still full of hot air!

i love fans like you on message boards.

your post is awesome!

We aren't good enough yet to do anything other than just stockpile as much talent as possible. I'll take another 2 or 3 top SS prospects if we can get them!

@sahadevsharma: Hoyer confirms team sent five people to watch Castillo on Saturday, wouldn't comment any further than that

If cubs actually signs this guy to play CF, where does that leave Alcantara ? Trade bait ? Utility player ? Future of Almora ? Trade bait ? Future of schwarber ? Catcher ? Trade bait ? Have to think soler and bryant will be locked into a corner OF spot..

From what I've read I don't recall many thinking Castillo was ready to start day 1. Even if he did, it doesn't seem the team gives a crap about roadblocking players. It appears they take the stance of dealing with the problem when it comes.

The feeling was he would get some minor lge ABs and then called up , so he could be up late Aug or Sept call up..

I could care less about blocking a player as long as the guy in front is better.

In the cubs case, committing to him would/could end up forcing a move on 3 of their better prospects in Alcantara, Almora, and Scherzer..

If castillo good, then it wouldn't matter cause you can use those guys to improve in other areas via trade..

If he ends up another fukudome, well.....

I got the impression he'd be called up fairly quick. Cubs are just assembling as much talent as they can for as cheaply as they can. The positions will play out later, after they get the bigs and show what they can do. Cubs will have their pick of the litter and then can trade the rest for pitching and younger prospects.

See, how it works is, not every prospect pans out. So the idea is that you protect against this by adding as many prospects as possible. Also, by adding prospects, you have people to replace guys who are traded for pitching.

Besides, this guys skill set is somewhat unusual. You don't see a lot of guys like him that also have a RF arm.
