Depends on whether Colletti thinks he can re-sign Dempster or not. As to him being stupid, he's seemed to be quite shrewd with trading... and not trading in the past. I doubt the FO will take big advantage of him. Then again, we don't know how highly he values his current prospects... nor Dempster. If we end up getting back a haul we'd deem more valuable than we expected... I think we may get a problem child that Colletti knows something about, and is wise enough to not broadcast.

There have been some makeup issues with Gould. I wonder if that is why his name has been leaked a few times.

Just amazed how Dempster is putting up these numbers. Typical contract year.

Sorry, he's pitching way over his fucking head. He's good, but not that good.

He has put up a sub 3 ERA before. Granted a sub 2 ERA isn't going to last, but it isn't like this guy has been a 4 ERA pitcher for several years and doing this.

Zach Lee is rightfully off the table in a Dempster deal according to most reports.

But lets not pretend like he isn't a good pitcher either is the point. He has pitched at a high level in the past and is doing so again.

Wouldn't it be fair to say that whoever is leading the league in ERA in late July is pitching over his head?
