Dano played less than half a season this year and still outscored Kruger.

Did I say "worse offensively" anywhere? I said he's like Kruger, but better offensively.

Nah, he asks for it, just let me roll with the theme.

Wait, aren't you in Washington state? Maybe you're involved in this too.

Yep 45 miles, as the crow flies, to Vancouver and 80 to Seattle, ya hoser!

My god the whining some of you are doing is crazy. Bowman wins 3 cups in 6 years and you are acting like he's Jerry Angelo. **** sake wait till we get all the info on why Saad wasn't retained.
Someone was going to make an offer for Saad the Hawks couldn't match if he signed his K after 7/1/15.

Apparently, Saad was all talk about giving the Hawks, a "hometown discount" and "winning championships was more important than cash," since the Hawks weren't going to be able to get anything done with him prior to tomorrow and and avoid an RFA offer sheet.

Let's see how Dano and Asimov do playing with the Hawks, and how Saad plays without Toews and Hossa, before we throw Stan under the bus.

Morin will probably end up being traded with Sharp or Bickell, if/when they're moved.

Gonna miss Saad, but the salary cap rules.
If there were more level headed and intelligent comments like you two offered up here (as per usual), I probably wouldn't have bailed during the cup run. Instead, I watched with friends and loved ones, enjoyed the hell out of the outcome, and didn't worry about finding a suitable photo to punctuate my own useless drivel.

Some of the reactionary idiocy around here is mentally exhausting.

Good to have ya back. Wondered what happened to you. I bailed on certain games during the run.

I was just correcting you when you said "How much better? We will see." since in 30 games of his first season in the NHL he's already outscoring Kruger.

Tanks.

I decided to actually watch the games instead of reading mid-game whining. Everything worked out beautifully.:elephant:

Stan clearly didn't think seven hours would be enough time to get Saad's asking price to drop 2.5 million.
From a recent Sun Times artcle ( the funniest part is at the end about Toews and Kane).

http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/7/71/698811/brandon-saad-open-giving-hawks-hometown-discount

“It’s a business in the end, but this is where I want to be and I’m sure we’ll figure something out,” Saad said of his pending restricted free agency on Wednesday as the Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks cleaned out their lockers and prepared for Thursday’s parade. “Chicago’s been great to me, and I couldn’t be happier.”

...“He’s going to be a big part of our group for many years to come,” Bowman said. “We’ll make it work.”

....“It’s something that’s crossed my mind, for sure,” Saac said. “The money’s going to come and go. But to win championships and play on a great team, that’s what it’s all about. … We have a tight group here. I’m close with a lot of the guys, and it’s fun out there on the ice and off the ice. The goal is to be in Chicago.”

...And just like Toews and Kane left money on the table by signing contract extensions last summer (albeit the two highest cap hits in NHL history), Saad was open to the idea of offering an adopted hometown discount, even if his real hometown comes calling.

LMFAO!

Haha gotcha. I wasn't referring to Kruger, I just meant we'll see how great of a fit him and AA will be.
