Saad's not going to have Toews/Hossa/Kane creating room on the ice that he had in Chicago
He definitely doesn't have a D group that can move the puck like the Hawks did in Columbus.
He's a 3mil dollar player at best. I'm thrilled the Hawks didn't give that poser what he wanted. Now just move Bickell, they can keep Sharp. Sharp scored 70pts playing with Toews/Hossa and I'm sure he'd be able to do the same if they keep him.
On a side note...not sure why Panarin is getting penciled into the lineup or assumed he's a top 6 immediately when he's never played in NA.
There is speculation he is as good as Kavulchuk, and the bonus' in his contract make it a 3 mil cap hit but Bowman still thinks he is steal hunting there.
His teammate was a top 6 and he is still developing but scored 60 points in Russia I thought.
I also want to do that because Bowman is talking like he views the big Russian as the final 2C solution. If Panarin is as skilled as they say. Anyway, this trade makes for hilarious lines. We should have fun figuring it out now because of various factors. There is reasoning to do a number of things, like chemistry factor is why I keep slotting Panarin for skill with Kane, but now that a russian is 2C it makes even more sense. Captain America and the two Russians.
Nationality or SuperFly Lineup (pairs Russians and Slovakians)
Kane-Toews-Teuvo
Artem-Artemi-Sharp
Hossa-Dano-Versteeg
Shaw-Kruger- competition
Front Loaded
Sharp-Hossa-Toews
Teuvo-Anisimov-Kane
Panarin-Dano-Hartman/Baun/Topp/Nordstrom
Shaw-Kruger-Hartman/Baun/Topp/Nordstrom
Is it time for Hossa down and Teuvo up? I mean, that lineup has crazy chemistry potential given what we saw with Teuvo Kane, but if you keep Teuvo and Sharp you still haven't decided Kane yet, or Hossa. This is a team in major transition now, its basically start over and find the new combinations as every line has already lost somebody.
