Only so many games this team can win with their #1 center and captain being a complete fucking no-show. Yes, I'm calling out Toews. He's been fucking useless. USELESS.

not as if the hawks got hammered anyways. all these games are goung to be tight and mistakes are going to be highlited. there were just too many as the game moved on for the hawks. some real ugly turnovers..some really bad faceoffs...way too many icings..little things that added up.

Ahahaha! Oh, man. Are you listening to the post-game? OMG, the fucking spin is hysterical. Yeah sure Q, "I thought he had two good games". Okaaaaay then. I guess that's why in a 3x OT Gm. he was "trusted" with all of 14 mins and in a 1 OT Gm. 2 he had a grand total of like 8 mins relative to the other forwards.

I have to agree, he has to find a way to contribute and be a leader.

I am starting to agree with this. He can do the other tings and ~*intangibles*~ but at some point he also needs to start scoring some goals and points, he's been unproductive since 2010 (granted last year he was playing with a scrambled brain) so when is the time to question if that run in 2010 is the aberration and this is the real playoff-Toews? There is plenty of this series left and he has a chance to redeem himself, I so hope he does.

Yeah. Basically everyone has been saying this is going 6 or 7 games. How did they think it was going to happen?

The OT/GWG goal aside they were never gonna win that OT with the way they were playing. That was A HOTASS FUCKING MESS. Period. For as near perfect Hawks hockey as the 1st Per was their OT hockey was TERRIBAD. Jeebus. {{{shivers}}}

ETA: And disallowed goal or not, shots are great and all but they MUST figure out how to FINISH. They had their chances in this game to fucking make up the lost goal and they didn't. Period.

lol, let's blame Bollig for the Hawks not showing up after the 1st period.

Did he lose the puck on the boards? Yes. Does that happen to even the best players in the league? Yes. Did that result in a goal? Yes.

What about Sharp turning the puck over on the 1st bruins goal? You know, when he took it back into his zone behind the net and lost possession? Which resulted in a goal?

Where has Kane been? Hossa? Toews? Our power play?

Honorable mention for complete no-show and disappointment to Seabrook as well. Looks like he's skating on one leg and scrambled eggs for brains out there.

Agreed. The series is tied after 2 games so jumping on the ledge is a bit premature and the Hawks have a tendency to respond well after bad games. Both have been close games and I don't see that changing even if it is moving to Boston, despite the huge fellating that media have been giving Boston. 6 or 7 game it is, anything else would be a surprise.

toews hasnt been useless. he certainly needs to find a way to score which has been a skipping record. but useless? not a chance. he continues to be one of the best defensive forwards on the ice. no one disagrees he needs to find that goal scoring. at this point i dont think its going to happen. the timely goal would certainly be nice though.

get kane off the floating shit again also. hes only been a difference maker when he involves himself more below the blueline. dont mind him thinking offense and i dont expect him to be mr awesome back checker but jesus when he floats bad like tonight its frustrating. first goal against was a clear example of his floating.

My only real concern at this juncture is that Gm. 5 vs LA was a 2 OT, Gms. 1 and 2 vs BOS were 3 OT and 1 OT respectively. That's A LOT of fucking hockey to that will have been played in 8 days going into Monday's puck drop.

I don't give a shit if Toews has been good defensively. MUCH, MUCH MORE is expected from him. He is a fucking BLACK HOLE offensively. It's pathetic. Pretty much any time he touches the puck in the offensive zone, it's going the other way. How many board battles has he won in this series? I can't recall a single one. He looks weak out there. Completely overmatched.

i also have problems calling out blueliners in a 2-1 loss. seabs had as many mitakes as the rest of the guys on the blueline tonight. hammer had one if the worst turn overs of the entire game. had boston scored on it it may have been the worst rurn over of the playoffs.

boston did a goid job at focusing their physical game on the hawks blueliners more than in game one and after the first period. pretty good adjustment made by julien. paid off a few times. that hammer turnover was a direct result of him trying to avoid being smoked by lucic again and the pressure the bruins were putting on the blueline.

I'm not calling Seabs out just for this game. I'm calling him out for the entire playoffs. He has been extremely disappointing.

I'd go back to:

Bickell-Toews-Kane

Sharp-Zeus-Hossa

Saad-Shaw-Stalberg

Kruger-Bolly-Frolik

The disallowed goal is third one against the Hawks this playoffs (and the quick whistle was by a ref doing his first Cup Final). I know the Hawks need to move on, but we go up 2-0 in the 1st, this might have turned out differently. It was also a great play by Toews and Saad should have had his 2nd Cup goal.
