If you think that's why you receive so many negatives you really do live in a fantasy world.

with Dan Marino. LMAO!

Why he was the best QB never to win a Super Bowl ring. But it wasn't his fault, it was his teammates, ya SEE!

Admittedly, Leddy has not looked good at times in this series and had some mistakes in Gm. 3 (what defender hasn't had lapses so far?) but this still seems too extreme a reduction IMO---essentially running with 5 d-men.

Im still looking for someone to explain to me why Bickell has been walking around in a knee brace the last couple days and it hasn't been reported until tonights pregame by the CBC guys (who claimed to have seen him in it). Are they lying or has Bickell had a knee issue for a while now?

I'm sure plenty of folks banged and wearing braces and other prtective gear right now.

Was it reported on Twitter?

If we'd lost, it'd be an issue. Prolly wouldn't have hurt to have some fresh legs in OT. It seems like Stalberg saw more ice later in the game and OT.

Had a feeling that as long as we had the lead or were tied (1-1, 4-4, 5-5) we'd eventually win. If we had gotten behind...

Glad I didn't have to find out.

And one more thing. How GODDAMN SATISFYING was it to see Fro + Kruger rewarded offensively on their play for Kruger's goal? DAMN satisfying. :icon-smile: They just go out there shift after shift after shift ALL fucking season handling their business and literally busting hump defensively shutting shit down then they PK like fucking BOSSES! So rarely do they get to reap offensive glory rewards---this made me fangirl ecstatic for them.

Dear lord.

So many positives to take from this game.

1) The Hawks won in spite of Crawford giving up a minimum of three bad goals. AWESOME to see, considering how amazing he has played in these playoffs.

2) The big guns showed up.

3) Coach Q-less finally pulled his head out of his ass and put the top line back together. Can anyone explain to me why Bickell/Toews/Kane was broken up to begin with? Anyways, as long as he keeps them together, good things will happen.

4) Toews scored a very nice deflection goal. Has to be a huge monkey off his back.

5) The Hawks scored on the PP. WHAT? AMAZING!

6) Series is tied, and the Hawks are looking great, while Boston looked very, very human tonight... Chara on the ice for five goals against... OUCH.

I called Hawks in six to start....and it's still possible. Carry that play over to game five, minus Crawford waving at pucks, and the Hawks should do it....

As someone here said earlier...only the Hawks can beat the Hawks.

P.S. Leddy four shifts? I mean, they won the game, but WTF? He hasn't been bad at all, in my opinion.... Seems extreme. Really extreme. I don't get it, to be honest.

There better be a damn good reason why #8 ended up in Stalberg's dog house.

I saw no reason at all for him to get benched. Really, really strange. Who the **** knows. He needs to be on the PP instead of Keith, though. That's for DAMN sure.

I don't understand Leddy being benched either. THere has to be something more to it because if any blueliner needed to benched it was Hammer (not his best series thus far). But they won. Have to wonder if Leddy actually hurt himself or not because yah the benching didn't make much sense even with the "going with the vets" excuse. He didn't look happy on the bench. But it looked like a benching and not an injury for sure. Strange indeed esp after that great pass he made to Sharp earlier in the game. Q must have seen something no one else saw.

And yes some real positives in that game. Nice when a team can overcome bad goalkeeping like that. And some of the blueliners don't get off scott free either on some of those goals. Oduyas misplay on the first Bruins goal wasn't pretty but Craw def needs to save his blueliner there just as the blueliners have saved him out a few times. All good though because of the win of course. Shitty games for all goalies happen thank god the guy in between the pipes on the other side wasn't that great himself.

Sharp had a fantastic game. He took over that second line. Q can stick with Kane and Toews together. The way sharp played should ease any thoughts that without Kane on the second line the talent doesn't get spread out. That's obviously not true. Chara also showed he may be able to handle one of Toews or Kane but he can't handle them both at the same time. Hossa gets a hat off for playing pretty hard on what looked like a pretty bad lower body injury. Makes what Sharp did tonight that much more impressive..and look whos leading the playoffs in goals now.

Entertaining hockey game. Was a nice change from the other 3 games. More open. It was fun. AND THE HAWKS WON FACEOFFS!!!!

Wonder if the Bruins shoot high glove again in game 5 all night?

This series is still 50/50..it smells like a 7 game series still. Hard to gamble on anything with this series. Shes a doozie so far. Lucic and Bergeron are still giving Hawks problems. Jagr also. Series is far from over but take that game and thank the hockey gods it's 2-2.

The Hawks won in spite of Oduya, Hammer, Crawford, and Keith all basically looking like dog shit. You have to be happy with that. They shouldn't ever look that bad again...

Can Q leave the Bickell/Toews/Kane line alone? Remains to be seen. I mean, it makes perfect fucking sense. The only guy on the team that has a chance of matching up with Chara, is Bickell. Why the **** wouldn't you play him with your two best offensive players to open up space for them, especially after how the LA series played out? Still pissed he broke them up to begin with, but whatever.

Did Hossa even play?

Sharp has been the best Hawks' forward for the ENTIRE playoffs. If he had a few more points, he'd be in the Conn Smythe conversations. Again.

Glad to see the Hawks bailing out Mr. Softy for once.

Yikes... you would never see the BGITW give up 5 goals in a playoff game.

Hope Ray is ready for a start before this one is over.

But yet again I called it when the score was 0-0 AND WAS RIGHT: "I feel like the Hawks are going to score a lot of goals, but Crawford is going to be Mr. Softy tonight"...

Man it's no fun being right all the time.

Q pushes all the right buttons - again - and his heads up his ass....LOL

Leddy? The joke around rinks is when he's on the ice - there's going to be scoring chances. Problem is, you don't know if it's going to be for CHI or for BOS. He has 2a and is a team worse -7.

In pretty much a must win game...with 2 days off, he sat and went with the horses. Paid off having Seabrook and Rosival getting a few more shifts/more ice time, didn't it?

All year long, he continually put Kruger/Frolik in many key situations - where I'm sure his head was up his ass those days too according to the people that "know more". Slow ass Handzus out skating Bergeron for the SH goal...guy is too slow/needs to be sat for Ben Smith or whoever. But not knowing his team, Q continues to roll the the players out he believes in. Been paying off just a bit in these playoffs now?

In a game that BOS kept coming back...where other teams probably would have been rattled (much like the DET no-goal)...this guy's bench continues to overcome adversity, play their asses off, claw/scratch to come out on top...and he does this without having a good view of the game. Because, of course, having one's head up his ass keeps him from seeing whats going on.

No one has a clue who's hurt/who's not - except them. (See - Hossa out of nowhere out GM3, Bickell with a bad knee - where people were crying about his minutes being down last game, etc). But the coach who has his team 2 wins away from the cup is the one with his head up his ass....and everyone else sees clearly.

Goaltender interference all the way.

No call on the Sharp breakaway another gaff, should have been a hooking or slash call.

Especially with rhe ticky-tacky intereference calls on the Hawks tonight.

Kane's break away off of neandrathal man's turn over should've been a penalty shot as well.

I thought that too. So did Kane. He had a clear step and never got a shot off. His hooking penalty was phantom and the slashing of Crawfords stick out of his hand just before they scored on that PP was an embarrassment once again by the NHL.

Several of the calls were pathetic

Oduya's interference - yet in the 3rd...Boychuk did the same to Stalberg

Kane's hook - Krug ran into his own player. Ref screened from 3 players and the net, makes the call

Sharp taken down with 2 sticks in his waist on a Hjall shot from the point in the 3rd - no call (but Kane's was on a non-scoring chance)

Keith hooks Kelley...who runs Shaw well after the whistle...but Shaw gets one as well?

Then Daugavins mauls Shaw while he was on the ice later in the 3rd...and no call in that scrum (after Shaw's prev penalty)

I had no idea what was/wasn't going to be called....as it didn't seem like the players were either. It would be nice to have a coach without his head up his ass...to keep the bench even keeled and pushing forward through it all.
