And this is only provided that Caleb can be a big boy about this. You meet with Caleb and tell him Bagent is starting for a game. Maybe this allows Caleb to see something, anything he might not be seeing. It's a shot in the dark but at this point it can't hurt anything but Caleb's ego. If Bagent comes in and gets the same slaughtering, you fire Eberfluss right after the game and you work on ways for Caleb to protect himself so he doesn't get seriously injured and you move forward.
The current plan isn't working. And starting Bagent is pure desperation. But it's worth trying anything at this point.

As much as Schefter is a somewhat respected, reliable source, this is just plain stupid talk. You dont bench your #1 pick in his first season, mid season when there are 1000 other factor involved. Let's get some consistent play calling first of all. Let's start with that. Too much money is secured for Caleb so benching him makes. 0 sense.

If they do move to Tyson Bagent, in this situation this is in no way them giving up on Caleb Williams.
This would be protecting Caleb Williams from this horrible coaching staff and would be an indication they are going to move on at the end of the season.
