Bagent's performance would actually be irrelevant.
Indeed, Youngster. Setting aside the fact that Bagent wouldn't come in and make this poor scheme suddenly work, even if he did, so what? Are the Bears trying to convince everyone they blew another #1 pick?

Frankly, if Williams was throwing interceptions and pooping his pants and fumbling the football the way most rookies (and a certain former golden child around here) would be doing by now in spades, then, yes, maybe some time on the bench "learning" would be warranted. But he isn't. He's kept his poise, on field and off. I honestly don't believe Williams is the problem here.
The problems are in this order 1) the offensive line; 2) the playcalling/scheme; 3) lazy, diva receivers who have already thrown in the towel and aren't getting open worth even half of what they're being paid, which is a consequence of continuing to employ a head coach the players do not believe in. So add #0) Matt Eberflus.
