**** me sideways.
so dumb
**** me sideways.
buff set the market.
Seabrook may not be the best at one thing, but he's like Pippen to Jordan. Or Seabrook to Keith. Those two play so well together, pay those two at all costs. If things don't turn around next year, trade them in-season.
**** me sideways.
Only Seabs doesn't get as many points.
Try trading a $6MM contact. This is a ridiculous deal. When his agent gave the front office this number they should have shipped him to the Eastern Conference immediately. Stupid contract stupid stupid stupid. I like Seabrook but hes worth his current salary. This is a massive overpayment. Anyone who likes this contract needs to take off the homer hats. Terrible
ya........
points arent the only thing to judge his value on. positioning, defense, puck control, taking shifts off etc are all involved in this.
buff may have the points, but he is a lazy player and is overpaid.
since jan 2:
3 goals
2 assists
I didn't mean to imply that buff is a better player but when it comes to dollars offense pays more.
Seabrook simply doesn't deserve this money.
I would argue that Buff has better puck control tho.
The dollar amount blows. If he was a bit offensive minded fine, but he shouldn't have gotten more than 5 mil
he signed for 6 million ****.
6 per hurts in so many ways i like seabs but he is nowhere near worth that ammount of money. Well boys with this contract i think the cup in 2010 is gonna be the only cup for a while with the contracts the hawks have now they wont be able to be serious contenders again for at least 4 or 5 years.
Holy overreaction, Batman!
Rofl ... yeah he should get paid less than Hjalmarsson with a lesser cap hit.. :big eye roll:
What planet are some of you guys on?
Is it though? i mean we see how good the team is now and they cant get much better with the contracts they have. They have no room to get better. The contracts they have are huge and have too much money tied up in a couple of players who are not worth what they are being paid.
Yeah, Ives...really, it is. They do have some room to get better, assuming they continue to leave Huey in Switzerland. Also, haven't we been complaining a lot about the core not playing up last year or their potential? What will probably happen when these guys don't try to overdo what they did in 09-10 and have a real summer to recoup?
While we may not see another cup in the next 4 or 5 years, this team will have the talent to be a cup contender. You can bank on that.
Ok man ill give you the "year after" defense. Ok maybe i shouldnt write them off for the next four years on this years performance. I will see what happens next year but i do worry with the contracts they have unless they can dump one or two of them they and all of the fans should be concerned.

Maybe I'm missing something... if Campbell underperforms is there any reason to keep him in North America and north of the Rio Grande?
