And the only pitch-and-catch-throw TD was to Kmet.

Not even just about the TD's, he just looked so comfortable in the pocket and outside of it. I couldn't really find a single fault in his game tonight.
Granted, its preseason, but he made it look easy for the rest of his offensive players. I'm used to bears QB's doing the opposite.

That being said we’ve seen Fields make much harder throws. His arm talent has never been in doubt. The guy has a cannon.

Brady, Mahomes, Watson, Murray, Stafford, Wilson, Herbert, Ryan, Carr, Burrow, Prescott, Allen, and Rodgers just to name a few that can make that throw.

Preseason is probably the most fitting time to use the word that I’ve used twice lately.
Yeah I thought he should have gone 2 and Really thought the Niners would take him even with all of that Mac Jones smoke.
I’m just happy with seeing progress. Tonight was great though but I try not to get ahead of myself. I typically want to see a player play at a certain level for two seasons before coming to any grand conclusions, good or bad. But this is my guy and I believe in him and that he has all the tools. Just hoping the situation doesn’t fail him.

The best part about this play wasn’t even the throw, it was him looking off the defenders and coming back with a dime.

True. But id be willing to bet Scrubisky doesnt make that throw. No fucking way he puts it in between two defenders, shit he doesnt even attempt it because he never sees it. Also im betting he overthrows Kmet wide open in the endzone on the last TD. I have said and will continue to say Fields is the real deal. The kid can sling it.

I thought that was a really nice throw but not something that is out of line with what most good QBs do. What I was impressed with the consistency, control, and ease with which he played today. He made good throws all night. That out where he put it over the defender, the easy way he hit Kmet for the TD, the awesome throw to Pettis out of the pocket. He only missed one throw really, a bit high on a square in.

It was a good throw but the claim was it was a throw only a few QBs can make.
