So, Fields is the real deal? Right?

Cliff notes? Volume wasn’t working and I couldn't hear it
Just really technical describing his decisions and articulate. I feel like you don’t see that type of detail/transparency from a lot of players.

He went into the decision making on some of the passes which was interesting.

I suggest watching it if you get a chance.

Preseason is probably the most fitting time to use the word that I’ve used twice lately.

Yeah I thought he should have gone 2 and Really thought the Niners would take him even with all of that Mac Jones smoke.

I’m just happy with seeing progress. Tonight was great though but I try not to get ahead of myself. I typically want to see a player play at a certain level for two seasons before coming to any grand conclusions, good or bad. But this is my guy and I believe in him and that he has all the tools. Just hoping the situation doesn’t fail him.
I agree but the looks offs, directing traffic and that throw good QBs can make showed a lot more comfort, awareness and control than we've seen in the past. Of course he had a lot less pressure than he'd see in Cleveland in the regular season but having full control and awareness was encouraging under any circumstances. Hopefully the OL gets more coordinated and Mustipher replaced so this can become a norm.

It's nice to see someone in here, seeing how ridiculous that throw was. Won't get credit it should
That's not even a good angle, he starts to release that throw before the receiver is out of his break.

He reads the D, sees its cover 2, recognizes where the soft spot in the coverage is and throws a timing route that hits his guy right in the numbers just as he breaks.

That throw was special.

He did look good today.

Being HIGHLY skeptical, the Browns best pass rushers were out. And some of those "wow" throws were pitch-and-catch for an NFL QB.

...don't get too excited about throws any NFL QB could make. IE...Mitch Trubisky's 5 TD game in '18.
Did you see ANY inaccurate throws out of him today? I-didn’t-see-a-single-one.

There was one semi deep middle that wasn't special. Looked a little forced.

The only throws that were 'pitch and catch' was when Fields was rolling out and threatening the line of scrimmage. Not sure how that's a knock against Fields or the offense but okay,

The look offs are great. The progressions and decisiveness is there. The calm in and out of the huddle. I'll let the experts break down mechanics but he does seem to be progressing nicely. I actually really liked that most of his throws had good placement on them too tonight. Last season and the past couple weeks his throws would end up too high on a lot of his short-intermediates, which worried me a bit. But looked sharp tonight.

The struggles will be there this season but this is first time where he without a doubt looked really good. Excitement is understandable.

He definitely looked on point tonight.

I thought he looked great overall. :) Just one game but it's encouraging. That one arched ball was one Mitch could never throw, even when he had a good day. Alternate trajectories were not his friend.
