So, Fields is the real deal? Right?

If that were Trubisky on the third TD he would've over thrown Kimet. Fields made it looks easy

The look offs are great. The progressions and decisiveness is there. The calm in and out of the huddle. I'll let the experts break down mechanics but he does seem to be progressing nicely. I actually really liked that most of his throws had good placement on them too tonight. Last season and the past couple weeks his throws would end up too high on a lot of his short-intermediates, which worried me a bit. But looked sharp tonight.

The struggles will be there this season but this is first time where he without a doubt looked really good. Excitement is understandable.
ON the Bears broadcast, Miller had pics of how he even stands different under center now. I think we are all gonna so a much better Fields this year,

He was a bit high all last year. Might just be he's calmer and we're finally seeing what we got when his brane is running at normal speed.

He was 14-16. Almost every completion was perfectly placed. I guess you were looking for 16-16 since the Bears traded up for him and had to give an extra 1 to get him. Oh, the horror.
And 1 of the incompletes was him throwing it out of bounds to avoid a sack, which is what many have wanted him to do more.

Fields has always made throws only he and very few players could make. It's not just hitting an open guy..its delivering a ball in a tight window.

So for me, It's just a matter of time until he takes off. He needs time to gain experience and become more comfortable. That and the Bears need to surround him with the right pieces so he can make those throws more often.

But if he was on a team with loaded weapons, there is no doubt to me that he would tear it up. Just need to find the right supporting cast and Build chemistry with that cast

Yeah, that's the point.

No that was not the point. The claim was only a few can. I named like 12 QBs and they was being conservative.

What separates QBs is consistency. How consistently can you make plays.

Making throws top QBs make is the point. And that is legit what you said. Top QBs means consistency is implied. I don't care how you tried to justify afterwards.

The poster said few QBs can make that throw. That is simply incorrect and that is what I questioned as pretty much half the QBs in the NFL can make that throw and probably more.

Fields has always been able to make good throws. Consistency comes in doing it over the course of the season. What he needs to be able to do is stack plays and drives not simply make a great throw from time to time.

What was more impressive tonight was him making the basic throws that keep drives alive as that has been his problem. He hunts for big plays instead of keeping the chains moving.

QB1 did what he was supposed to do against a group of 2nd and 3rd stringers on a shitty Cleveland team. I'm stoked, honestly.

What we have to remember is that everyone posting here is at different levels of inebriation. It's pretty much a dive bar with 4 different time zones.

Today was a good day.

Not that I care, but it will be interesting to see what the National Media says about Fields/Bears after that game. Yes it’s only preseason but will the Fields haters give him some credit? Do they still believe the Bears are the worst team in the league?

More impressive , even against backups Is two drives completing 7 passes in a row. One throw away that someone pointed out and the other that sailed on him, which really was his first incomplete Pass almost at halftime. Crazy.
