So, Fields is the real deal? Right?

Yes and this isn’t the first time he’s made wow throws.
Exactly.

We can go back to early last year…

Fields was getting panned on here and a few of us were like “hold on folks”…

I said I was looking at the most talented QB I’d ever seen if his downfield accuracy (hitting the easy bombs in stride) takes a leap.

Even Nagy saw this. The ultimate weapon. Vick/Lamar Jackson with some touch throws and pocket awareness/pedigree. (That’s one helluva interesting upside)

He is a tougher competitor and better runner, IMO, than Griffin was.

The toughness and competitiveness, even if it stems from a selfish and immature desire to be great, was the special trait I didn’t expect to see with all his tools.

My prediction was he would be a pro-bowl QB maybe win a super bowl..in Cleveland.

But that vision went haywire when we hired a new coach and the browns traded for Watson.

Fields likes Getsy, and maybe they rise up together. Maybe the bears will finally play smart football and realize what Fields is before it’s too late now.

His fathers dream is for him to save the Browns though.

Worst case scenario we only get him for 7 years (two franchise), and we already wasted one of them(discounting last year).

But if Eberflus handles this defense, and Fields is the real deal, I think with just a couple lineman and weapons emerging the offense will be fixed in one off-season.

The free agents will flock to play with Fields and a good defense in Chicago.

A few were in his corner? This board was almost universally excited to have him here, understood the situation and that he was a rookie QB that didn't get enough reps in the pre. Evaluating his play doesn't mean you don't like him nor expect better with time. That this regime and Fields fixed some easy fundamental things in his delivery and scheme to fit the personnel says more about Nagy's crew than anything else.

Almost all thought that Fields was horribly mismanaged last year. There are always a few that don't want to give QBs time but the vast majority here know that it takes some QBs 2+ years before you know what you have.

I would not call last seasons discussions about Fields favorably “a mass majority.”

Yeah…lol, a vast majority of CCSers were kind and patient and understanding of the grand scheme.

Try to say that sentence about any topic without vomiting from the taste of lies.

Honestly, I think the squeaky wheels that dominate posting don't represent a majority. More a vocal minority. Saying Fields had a bad game when he had a bad game is not dumping on him nor does it represent future expectations which should always be somewhat guarded until you see that expectation come to fruition.

I really loved what I saw yesterday and that sort of play is my future expectation but it's one preseason game. Nothing is yet proven to this Fields fan.

He did look good today.

Being HIGHLY skeptical, the Browns best pass rushers were out. And some of those "wow" throws were pitch-and-catch for an NFL QB.

...don't get too excited about throws any NFL QB could make. IE...Mitch Trubisky's 5 TD game in '18.

And that's why shit stains are present. Bears football was undefeated this preseason. And this shitty post is uncalled for.

He definitely looked on point tonight.

...you and I, as life-long-fans have been disappointed before.

So it's you two out on shit stain island by yourselves huh? Please don't drag Bearly through whatever it is you are on about.

I feel like Kool-Aid unfairly gets credit....

The Jonestown massacre used Flavor-Aid...

Some marketing genius at the Kool-Aid company somehow got everyone to say drinking the Kool-Aid when Flavor-Aid should get the credit.
The Flavor-Aid marketing team didn't have the balls to step up and correct anyone.

While I agree with you, your last sentence is up for debate. I really wish I could find the source, but someone did a deep analyzation of QBs and found you tend to have what you have after about 600 attempts or so. Really wish I could remember where that's from so I could cite it properly.
