Oops, Rosscup lost the handle. 3.1 IP, 2 BB, 5 K, but responsible for those two guys he just walked on base.

Oh wait, they left him in. Got another strikeout. Now he's done.

Volstad still generating groundouts.

Another seven-pitch K for Szczur. Making the pitchers work, at least.

11 groundouts for Volstad in 18 possible outs, including a double play just now.

Apparently Javier Baez likes hitting home runs.

He sucks because we were told he had the upside of a number 2 starter and it is clear that isn't happening, but McNutt the reliever could be a useful piece in a year or two. He has pitched in relief 9.2 innings, and during that time he has 10 K to 4 BB. His fastball should be a lot better with him being able to let it loose up to 98 mph, and his slider is a plus a pitch. It is a disappointment that reliever is what he is, but McNutt still has a shot at being a useful piece for the Cubs.

I'd like to see more. I just recall he didn't miss bats that often.

Brett Jackson got a walk and stole a base. Then Welington Castillo struck out and wasted that opportunity.

Well limited sample size, but being able to rely just on a plus fastball and plus slider seems to be helping that with McNutt getting a K an inning. I am not penciling him as the future closer or anything yet, but there is some positives to be glean from this.

Maybe we can throw him in with a Dempster trade to get something better back :smug:

Brett Jackson ---> three true outcomes again

Just has to squeeze that strikeout in any way he can :lol:

BJax --> no 3TO, but 2 K's

Bowden --> lost control, and nobody likes it

Gioskar Amaya hit a HR for Boise. He is a guy that could be moving up on the organization prospect list.

While nobody was paying attention, Greg Rohan appears to have been promoted to Iowa. Hit a 2-run homer. Too bad the I-Cubs are losing again.

If Kaplan turns out to be right about Rohan being something than I am going to have to start giving him credit. I want good players, but I am not sure I want the Kapman to be right either. I think that makes me a bad fan.
