I think Anthony Rizzo can officially be called up today without forfeiting year seven of control. But don't set that in stone just yet.
I think if a roster move isn't revealed by this weekend then that might be an indicator they are going to wait until Super Two is no longer on the table.

Call him up then but don't put him in the lineup for that day, and start him Tuesday
With how much hype of the "Savior" role being placed upon him, I doubt there's a chance that Rizzo would be called up and benched the same day. I suspect we'll see him called up on Tuesday, but he'll be in uniform in the dugout on Monday. One of Campana, Cardenas, Valbuena, and Mather goes to Iowa... though sending either Valbuena or Mather down will expose them to waivers I do believe.
They should keep Valbuena since he seems to be hitting well and can back up most of the IF spots better than Cardenas. I don't think most people really care about Mather though and if someone claims him then they're more desperate than the Cubs are
I am pretty sure Cardenas has options, and he isn't getting playing time with Barney and Valbuena hitting. He would be the odd one out. The Cubs are actually short on right handed sticks as is so I think Mather is safe.
lulz @ Bleacher Report ranking Jackson as our 8th best prospect, Szczur not on list
We got Cardenas because Oakland DFAd him from their 40-man roster. He was optioned to Iowa out of ST. So, he can head back down without being exposed to waivers right now. His option for the season has already been burned.
