Just thought I would post them for your information and entertainment...

jason in Oviedo: Hearing rumors about boozer being traded? Orlando an option? Alex Kennedy: I've talked to people who believe that Chicago will shop Boozer, but you have to keep in mind that his stock is at an all-time low right now. He disappeared in the playoffs and there's a reason Chicago is talking about moving less than a year after signing him. It'll be tough to move him for anything of substance, especially considering how much he's owed over the next four years. With that said, if he does become available, the Orlando Magic will certainly express some level of interest. In the past, Dwight Howard has made it very clear to Otis Smith that he wants to play with Boozer and it's no secret that the two are best friends. They even stay at each other's houses during the offseason. With the Magic trying to do anything they can to keep Howard happy, they would have to make a play for Boozer should he become available. alex in chicago: Who are the bulls going to get this offseason at Sg Alex Kennedy: The Bulls are working the phones and monitoring what's happening in Philadelphia and Golden State. It doesn't hurt their odds that both Monta Ellis and Andre Iguodala would welcome a trade to Chicago with open arms. Right now, everyone wants to play alongside Derrick Rose and join the Bulls as they become a perennial contender. That will also help Chicago if they can't land a shooting guard in a trade. They'll have no problem attracting free agents this summer. Their options include J.R. Smith, Arron Afflalo, Jason Richardson, C.J. Miles, Shannon Brown, Anthony Parker, Nick Young, DeShawn Stevenson and Michael Redd. They'll have the full mid-level exception to spend and they'll definitely be throwing money at a shooting guard.

Had no idea those two were close...but just think about it...if Howard is actually close with Boozer, and he is cool with Rose, why wouldn't he come to Chicago?

Well, my podcast partner said trade Noah and Deng for Howard if necessary and go get someone like Shane Battier for a temporary replacement at the 3 position. I don't know what Otis Smith will ask for...but based on his past moves, they may be able to get over on him.

Dwight Howard and Carlos Boozer on the same team is nothing to snub your nose at. Boozer's ineffective defense may even go unnoticed if they landed Dwight.

They would need to send Korver and/or Brewer away for a decent wing player and mutiple draft picks if they traded Deng+Noah for him.

yeah.. it would make no sense to trade Boozer to Orlando if we're not gonna het Howard in return.... which would never happen.

It's gonna be extremely hard for the Bulls to trade Boozer. Injury history + big contract + him getting up there in age + the way he preformed in the playoffs = not many teams interested.

I was thinking the same thing. From what I have seen is that he is not remotely interested in coming to Chicago. I have read that he said it's too cold, but then I would continue reading the same article and it talks about him wanting to go to the Nets or Knicks. It gets cold there too. So it's not the weather. I'm guessing it's some preference of his and the city of Chicago doesn't fit that in some way.

If Boozer and Howard are such close friends, why doesn't Howard want to come here? The consensus is that we're not even on his list of choices. If Boozer is really like his best friend or something and he and Rose have a pretty good relationship, then wouldn't it make sense that he would at least express a mild interest in playing here?

As for that crazy trade for Howard and Arenas...I wonder how we're going to rebuild a bench from virtually nothing and replace Deng at SF. Still...Howard and DRose is such a deadly combo that I would think long and hard about that deal.

The horse, it is dead, stop beating it please?

All of this talk is a waste of time. I'm not against Howard coming here, don't get me wrong. I am however, not for gutting the team that won 62 games and made the ECF for 1 guy who will command big money with an uncertain CBA looming. Plus, Howard and his spot on the floor wasn't our most glaring need.

The focus should be getting us a solid player to team up with Rose in the back court, not our front court. The front court is our biggest strength. Unless Howard is going to play all 48 minutes, every game (a necessity since we wouldn't have any solid backups for him), I don't see how this helps the Bulls.

I know it's fun to speculate, but didn't that same thing happen (or didn't happen depending on how you look at it) with lebron, Wade, Bosh, Melo, hell we can go back to Duncan, Hill, T-Mac and even Kobe using our team as leverage for his own contract?

In each of those cases, I was against the move because I see the writing on the wall. I saw it then, and I see it now.

Just for speculaton, Howard, Boozer and Asik would do just fine. Get a guy to backup the three for a while and you are good.

There are good enough FA out there to fill the Bulls needs.

You might as well start getting used to the Dwight talk as a Bulls' fan and on this site. Because it's not going to stop.

The Bulls are probably better off making a 2-3 year plan than making a trade for Dwight in all honesty. But Dwight Howard could make this team absolutely deadly if it was the right deal.

As for the Bulls' front-court being their best strength, I disagree. Boozer has proven that he is not good enough to be a 2nd scoring option. He doesn't mesh well with Noah offensively either. The Bulls need to try to get rid of his contract. As for Noah, he has amazing potential, if he grows a low-post game, but he isn't exactly a deserving all-star yet- despite the great defense and rebounding. Noah didn't even play much in the 4th quarter against the Heat. The Bulls' main strength in regard to their front-court is their back-ups: Gibson and Asik. But neither one of those guys are going to win them a championship in a main role.

The point guard position is the Bulls' greatest strength. They are very flawed everywhere else. Let the Dwight Howard rumors continue and that will help the Bulls fly under the radar and make better deals.

Here's a trade I would highly consider:

Carlos Boozer to PHX for Vince Carter.

Bulls:
Derrick Rose, C.J. Watson
Vince Carter, Kyle Korver
Luol Deng, Ronnie Brewer
Taj Gibson
Joakim Noah, Omer Asik, (Kurt Thomas?)
