Narveson gets the ball tonight i believe. He has only let up 9 HR in 20 starts, the only thing i can see that would help soriano, is that he is a lefty pitcher. I am hopeful he will show power but i am just hoping to see him get on base. Narveson doesnt strike out an insane amount

Soriano is 1-9 against Naveson with 4K's so don't expect anything tonight in his first few at bats.

I hope so man. But I don't see Soriano hitting him good tonight. He needs confidence right now. Just start off with some base hits to get him more confident and then turn singles to doubles and doubles to homers

Soriano will not get many doubles nowadays. I will be happy with him making consistent good contact. If you get the good contact going, sooner or later one will soar out of the park for him. We just need him to start getting hot.

Yea man thats true. I really don't think that Soriano will be traded so hopefully he can at least heat up for a little bit and help us win some games. Maybe if he finishes strong someone would take him in the offseason if we eat money?

Chances of Soriano being traded are very slim. Not unless we eat at least 80% of what he is owed over the next 3.5 years.

Even then it will take a lot of work.

It's just a bad situation. Hendry needs to figure out what to do with him.

throw him at first if we do not sign Fielder/Pujols/Pena

That might be the best case for the Cubs future! At least until he is cheap enough to cut.

That's way too out of the box for the Cubs.

Sori has always been really streaky hitter. Just seems he had his power month in April which was weird

Yea i know he is a streaky hitter, but usually he has like a really hot week once a month or so and this year it was April and that's it.

It's not a horrible idea. But it would have to be done in the offseason. Can't put the pressure on him to learn a new position right now. But still man I don't see Soriano making diggs in the dirt and diving stops like Lee and Pena

Haha how did Soriano do tonight? I didn't get to watch the game and sometimes the numbers don't tell the full story. Did he have good at bats? Hit the ball hard just right at people?
