I heard Pat Hughes say something about that. But Casey made the right play by throwing the guy out at home. Still could Soriano at least hit a fly ball?

he walked over third rather than stepping on it...and it was soto running home, the catcher got the ball loooonnngggg before soto could have made a play. Casey screwed up because he should have realized who is on 3rd and known he has time to double up

And soriano just swang and a weird pitch

Well if Casey would've stepped on third then the play at the plate would not have been a force out. Soto could've then run back to third.

he would not have made it, and even if he was fast, how would he know casey stepped on the bag? It would have been an easy double play

It's debatable man. DeJesus and the dugout would've been yelling at Soto to go back. But it would have been nice for the guy who we pay 17million dollars to get a hit or a sac fly at least.

True. I want to see Campana get a start. If he would get more at bats I think his average would go up. It would be great to have Campana lead off, the steal for Castro and Ramirez.

But at least give him a shot. Give him a few starts to see if he can hit in the big leagues. That would be incredible if he could bat like .290 in the leadoff spot. He could steal at least 50 bases a year.

Jackson is going to be playing hopefully. Bring in Price and we are set. Szczur waas just raised to the #2 prospect for the Cubs.

Yeah, Soto is going to run back because he hears the bench yelling at him. It's not like there are 40,000 other people making noise right around him. Plus, do you really think that Soto could have made it back? He is slower than a turtle in quick sand.

What makes you think he can hit .290?

I wasn't saying he would make it back or he would go back. But I was trying to explain that Casey didn't step on 3rd base so he would still have to force at home and then try to quickly fire to 1st to get Soriano.

And I wasn't being serious about Campana haha.

You guys realize that Kameron Loe is an extreme groundball pitcher? The guy has something like 74 groundball outs to 25 flyball outs this year. Very few people are getting it in the air against. It sucks that both ball were hit right at McGehee, but the Cubs made contact in a contact situation.

Soriano actually drove the ball decently. The first one was a pretty lazy fly ball, but the second one was hit pretty hard just right at Braun.

And the strike zone was a mile wide last night for both sides. Unforunately the Brewers got the lead in the first inning when both sides where learning just how huge the zone was going to be. After that both sides struggled because you got nearly a foot off the plate.

Didn't get to watch the game. Grienke is starting tonight for the Brwers. Soriano is 4-13 against him.
