sadly its 19 mil......Soriano still a productice player just not worth what he getting. Again i dont blame Cubs for that. If Cubs trade him and pay most of contract they just better get something. I actually dont think its smart just to release him unless Ricketts dont count it against payroll. I have hard time Ricketts wouldnt count 19 mil though.

Well I know he has a lot of injuries but I was thinking if the Cubs got Fielder or Pujols and we kept Aram. That will take pressure of Soriano. Everyone will be focused on Fielder. So maybe that could help him a little?

Cubs already taking pressure off him by batting him 6th or 7th. What you see is what your going to get. He has turned into a very expensive role player.

Well Braun is making good money, Grienke will make good money, Weeks is due for arbitration and he is expected to get a nice raise. I just don't see Milwaukee having the money to give him a 7 or 8 year deal worth like $150million or more.

Weeks actually got extension last year. Its basically known that MIL cant afford Prince. The only question will be how many teams go after him. Figured NYY need a DH, BOS could use a DH with Papi being FA, LAA and TEX could upgrade at 1B. So could be alot of bidding going on for him

Well then Cubs need to make themselves an appealing team. I think Fielder wants to stay in the NL.

I also think he wants to stay in NL to play 1B but i also know he wants the money. So if an AL team offers him tons to DH dont be surprise he takes it

I think Fielder's biggest concern has been getting paid. I really think that whatever team offers the most cash is the one he is going to. I've stated multiple times what the biggest need for the Cubs is, and I still think that if we can only get one big time FA CJ Wilson does the most to improve the Cubs.

Yea I guess I just don't see Fielder wanting to be a DH. He would be a good fit for the Cubs, as long as he thinks they can contend soon. Add fielder, keep Ramirez, add a starter and I think they can beat out St. Louis.

Thats where we disagree. As i said before Wilson to me isnt what you call an ACE while Prince is a superstar bat that will only be 28. So i take the younger player that is a superstar over a SP that you can find around same statitics for less money. If we can get both great but only one then i want Prince

STL could be hurting next year. Pujols, Berkman, Molina and LaRussa all could be gone. MIL will lose Prince. The team i still be afraid the most would be CIN if Cubs decided to go for it.

Well I don't see any SP with a low 3 ERA averaging over 8 K/9 in the AL that are available next year beside Wilson. ACE is such an arbitrary title, and while he might not be in that first tier of elite starters. He has to be considered a step above Matt Garza given his performance this year. A rotation of Wilson, Garza, Dempster, Zambrano, Wells is actually a pretty solid rotation. And we just have to look to the southside to see how a team with good pitching and a below average lineup can hang around in a division race.
