Fine, say that if you want. My point is that everyone has explained to you the payroll situation and you still think we're getting Dunn. They said they WON'T trade Z, and they have to pay at least half of Fuku's contract. Then after phenomenal season, Marms, Marsh, and Geo are due for huge raises, then Gorzo will be getting a raise, and I think they keep Guzman too.

And I also don't think they want to trade Byrd, so if Brett Jackson is up when he's expected to be, that moves Colvin to 1B, though you seem to think they'll bench him. But in reality, he isn't, or at least shouldn't, be benched again.

And fine, say I'm as bad as waldo. He seems to think that you are the dumbass now anyway.

Even if we don't trade Fukudome, we can still get Dunn. It's not hard to see that. Marmol will be the only one getting a "huge" raise. This was Marshall's first season as a reliever and Geo is always hurt.

No, that's doesn't move Colvin to 1B. They have said they don't want Colvin to play 1st.

A dumbass thinks I'm a dumbass. Ouch. That hurts.

Hey guys lets tell JH to sign Dunn to a 4 year contract worth 60M....that would be the smartest move ever. NO! That would be another boatloaded contract that will come right back and bite JH in the ass. I'm saying this because that's a contract Dunn will likely get.

LOL... the Cubs are not getting Adam Dunn. Can't believe some of you are foolish enough to believe that the Cubs would go out, spend a bazillion dollars on a 31 year old strikeout machine, who will be seeking a 4 or 5 year contract. The Cubs are rebuilding and focusing on youth.

Pretty much I said. The only one who really thinks it is CO. I only see Dunn in Cubbie blue next year of he settles for a 2 year contract worth 8-10M a year and that's not happening.

I extend the same bet to you as I did to dewey,

I think Dunn will be a Cub. Winner chooses the other persons profile picture for a year.

Nah, I think we have a pretty good chance at it if we have enough money. It's pretty obvious he wants to play here.

Already not good financially. They suck. Need to rebuild. And in a few years the more cash available, the better, so they can spend when they are actually ready to compete.

We are rebuilding. We have no one in the minors for 1B. No one. Dunn will put butts in the seats and sell a ton of jerseys. We can compete as early as next year. Dunn will be very useful for us then.

When did we start talking about video games?

You're right, it's not like Castro will be in his 3rd year, Cashner in his 3rd year. BJax will be up here for sure. Jay Jackson, Archer, possibly Lee. We'll have Silva and Grablow off the books and possibly Ramirez. Which could mean Vitters will be up.

You said next year, as in 2011. Who says anyone takes Silva and Grabow, and A-Ram's picking up his option. And 2nd years, not 3rd years. Lee won't be up in 2011.

Now if you said 2012, which apparently you meant based on this reply, then I still don't think they make the playoffs. You act as if all of this young talent will produce right away, but it probably won't, it will most likely take some time.
