CHW can have Stewart for 3B
and to think I wanted him before the Cubs acquired him.
CHW can have Stewart for 3B
yeah I guess I was just referring to the deep gaps and centerfield, left field is pretty short, but that's besides the point. I think Johnson is movable, considering they have prospect Jimmy Paredes waiting in the wings in Triple-A.(Jimmy Paredes Stats, Bio, Photos, Highlights | MiLB.com Stats | The Official Site of Minor League Baseball) In addition to having a solid-hitting journeymen Scott Moore and Mike Hessman. The only players I can't see Houston moving are Altuve and Lowrie.
And Angels... don't call us, we'll call you on Stewart lol
I don't see the Astros being that interested in acquiring bullpen arms like Jones. I am sure they wouldn't turn it down, but I don't think they would go out of their way to get that. I doubt the Astros are not trading either Paderes or Johnson, but at the same time I don't think they are actively shopping them. They are far more interested in dumping their veterans (Carlos Lee, Wandy Rodriguez, Brett Myers, etc.) then trading guys they control for the next few years. Scott Moore is a journeyman and could be had for nothing, but what is the point of going that route really. I just see the White Sox as being in a tough spot as far as making moves because it is debatable how much salary they can take on and they have very little that they can trade.Well then tell me this, do you see maybe the Astros trading a Paredes to the Sox for a Nate Jones? Or would it be more realistic to try and acquire a player like minor league journeyman Scott Moore? Because if the latter is the case I say, why bother?
And yep, quite frankly I find all this trade speculation quite silly, especially for arms when you consider the Sox are (Brace yourself, Moneyball reference) 'the last dog to the bowl, the runt of the litter' but I really do consider finding an additional bat a possibility.
I just don't see how the White Sox can be a major player in a trade mid season.
Who do you think we'll target? And what are the chances of landing him? With the whole AL East in a dog fight, it will be awfully hard to be top-bidder in any potential trade for a decent starter, we just simply do not have the prospects.

or better yet, ship his ass out.
Not sure what pitcher they'll be able to find for something cheap that won't completely kill any chances they have for having a real farm system or keeping the team actually alive.
**** the farm.
I am sure the Cubs would be willing to give you Dempster now if you were going to overpay.
That makes two of us, and I've got a lot more waiting to do.
