I don't make excuses for him. I just try to point out rationality. I never claim he's Cy Young or an ace, but he's not nearly as bad as people (not just you) make him out to be.

Because you can't expect your #5 to pitch like an ace. Sox don't even have a real ace on the team. Don't expect the #5 to be an ace.
Floyd has had some really bad starts lately, but he has also proven before that he isn't terrible. He's fine as #5. Anything above that is a little questionable. But his trade value is low and he's an ok #5. Don't ask for him to leave before really thinking about it.
