Hmmm...guess I should've posted here.

The Cubs games this weekend are on WGN.

Much better start for Travis Wood. Gave up a couple hits, but no damage so far through two.

Wood goes 3.2 IP, leaves runners at the corners, game tied. Fielded his position well.

Randy Wells in mid-inning. Guess he's the odd man out for the rotation, going to the bullpen, if this is how they plan to play it.

Rodrigo Lopez in a heap of trouble in the bottom of the first.

Also looks like WGN is broadcasting the game from the Matrix.

Two manufactured runs and a solid line drive to get back ahead.

This is probably due to Andy Sonnistine electing free agency yesterday.

The Cubs have apparently released Trevor Miller. I guess Sveum wasn't kidding about only going with one lefty in the bullpen.

No I could see ?aine maing the pen as well. It seems like Marmol, Woo, Russell, and Dolis is a lock. Wells probably gets a spot as a long relief swingman. Coleman supposedly was pretty much in the bullpen as well. That leaves one spot for either Maine, Corpas, Lopez or Castillo (the rule 5 pick that has looked decent and by all accounts they want to keep). I suppose Wells or Coleman could be bumped for Maine if they really wanted to keep Castillo.

3/27 Roster moves

Expect to know the final roster by Wednesday or Thursday.

It will be nice to get the official word on how the roster shakes out, but really what do we not know at this point? Backup catcher and four bullpen spots (probably only 2 really) are the only real questions at this point. Dewitt and Mather seem to be locks for making the bench with Baker and Johnson guaranteed spots. Dempster, Garza, Malholm and Volstad are in the rotation with Shark likely getting the fifth spot. The bullpen is guaranteed to be Marmol, Wood, Russell with Dolis, Wells, and Coleman pretty strong candidates for the bullpen.

The Jeff Samardzija experiment is going to be very interesting.
