Well, good job giving them home ice back. Which isn't a huge deal. You guys still shit the bed entirely tonight thanks in part to Cumiskey.
Maybe Q and the rest of the coaching staff should give some of the young guys waiting in the wings a chance to play next year and develop because it sure looks like the vets can't handle a younger, faster, more determined team like the TB Lightning. They may miss the picks they gave up this year as well..

Can clearly see Toews is starting to get frustrated with his lack of production. really don't know if it's best to stick him with Kane all game or not but I don't think either of them had any better of a game compared to 1 and 2.

Toews has been putrid and should sit Game 4 along with Sharp.

Agreed, but game 4 is huge. Am really hoping they can do it this year because age/cap issues are going to make next season very interesting.

It won't be like 2010/11, but they will have to shed cap. Easy decisions are getting rid of Bicks and Sharp if you can find trade partners, which gets harder every game.

It's a seven game series, and after seeing how we came back against the Ducks, I'm still not throwing in the towel. The team as a whole needs to play better all around and in all 3 zones.

I was thinking a short motivational speech from seabs in the penalty box followed by a head pat.

Toews has been a null point, hasn't been making many good or bad plays. Sharp on the other hand is making bad plays that are hurting us. The giant one that sticks out is his 2 consecutive penalties that led to a goal given up.

Agreed. Long series change complexion over time. A couple days ago the storyline was the Hawks trying to go up 2-0, which would likely mean "series over".

Find a way to win game 4 and then it's best of 3.

As much as a dislike Mike Milbury he's right about one thing: Tampa has outplayed us for a large part of the first 3 games in this series. Obviously that's going to need to change if they want to win anything this year.

They have to find a way to beat the forecheck. In game one they started exiting up the middle, plus Tampa called off the dogs.

If they don't do that, I don't see how they can win three more games.

Yep!

We were down 2 to 1 against Boston in 2013 and won 3 in a row.

Better pick it up though!

No the series isn't over, don't think anyone has said that. What are you talking about? Win game 4 and it's all fine. Hell, lose game 4 and I still won't count them out.

My bad, did not mean to direct that at you!
But their are some who count us out every time we lose, and given the Hawks history over the past 6 years, it's uncalled for.

This is the best game the Blackhawks have played. They should have been up 4-1 after the the 1st. This is the first game I think the Lightning got lucky. Tampa gave away the 1st game.

Shit night.

They'll figure it out.

Hawks in 6.

There's nothing to figure out, just keep their head in the game the whole game
They also allowed three goals in one period 8 times this post season and they won 5 of those. It's actually amazing they got this far, either the NHL sucks or the Hawks are super good

It would also help to put the puck in a wide open net. Or look over the shoulder before you throw the puck down the boards, that play where Hedman undercut Shaw could have been a 1 on 0 if Seabs punts the puck down the middle

Won 18 of 25 faceoffs, Corsi was +20. Sticking to the script again, eh?

For a "goal scorer" he isn't doing his job too well now a days.

I wouldn't get too caught up in this. He's got about a week left on the team.

Too many players from the Hawks are underperforming for me to get too alarmed. They're gonna find a way. They've always found a way.
